I might be there also if the weather doesn't get too hot.

Default BEARINGS

does anyone know where i can get the full bearing set from Acer? i hear those are metal shielded. can i put my teflon seals on those? if not, is there a noticable difference in performance between the metal and the teflon shield bearings if i flush them and leave the inner seal off?

any good bearing deals out there?

I remove all the seals from all the bearings and clean them after every race day. Our track is well prepared so the risk of running without seals is marginal. I would prefer the teflon over the metal shielding myself but there was no noticeable difference in performance.

Anyone tried graphite rims? They are supposed to be light and very stiff. I guess this will have an effect on how you set up the car as the wheels are very different.
Any info on what setup changes might be needed would be most welcome.
I race indoors on carpet using either foams or Schumacher Carpet Dragon Tyres

Bosscat.....I race indooors on carpet(astro turf..the green stuff)and the tire of choice is the Schue Dragons,we used to run the Schue pin spikes, but they wore out too quickly. The Dragons hook up really well.

Bosscat: stiffness usually equals less traction. You may need to make your car develop more traction. However it may just give your car a different feel.

Dragon Slayer,
I was beginning to think that the UK was the only place using Carpet Dragons as I'd never seen them mentioned elswhere.
What sort of insert are you running?? Care to share setup info??

I am in the process of buying new bearings, any suggestions?

I really do not feel like paying $120 for a full set of bearing from AE. All i need is the 8 bearings in the wheel hubs. The other ones are fine.
