I have heard the people in october fast were trying a tight or locked diff in the rear of the tc3 and a oneway in the front. I know some of the losi guys were using the lock diff in the front...

i personally tried the locked diff in the front. i think others did as well. No one I knew of ran the oneway/locked combo.

At Octoberfast there was 2 or maybe 3 factory TC3 drivers there and only 1 of them that I know of tried the locked rear diff and 1way front and that was Josh. But he needed to do something as his ride was a zambonie......just cleaning the track for the faster cars. He should not have won the race and what they said on TT about domination was a joke he was dumped with 2 laps to go and Paul was still full punch and josh crashed and paul hit him and then waited for him and LET him win. And yes Paul did use a locked front diff and was by far the fastest car out there.

Robk--I heard that Paul L. was awsome and was held back in all the accidents in the A main . How did you find that handled with the locked diff and were the stock guys running this locked diff also.

Thanks for the advise but I still have a question. It seems that the yok outdrive is unable to fit in the CVD dog-bone. Does it need to slim up also. Thanks!

everything Kevin said is true- Paulie''s ride was a monster and the only thing holding him back was all the funny business on the track (crashing etc.). I tried the locked diff and liked it. I thought it might be holding my car up a bit looking at the laptimes and went to regular diff. then I changed my car all around. And it wound up I could do the same or slghtly faster times w/ the locked diff. I still need to try it again.

Kevin thought he would be faster if he had kept his spool in, maybe he can comment further on this.

Basically, you get monster rip off the corner and a lot of steering out. I imagingine it's more effective in mod because of the horsepower, i.e. Pauls car

was totally disgusted w/my tc3. Went to Jaco purples & plaids on the carpet.car is a rocket now with billy easton's 2001 cleveland set up (Was usin trc's)

Jaco 24 or 26mm? I guess I'm gonna have to setup my TC3 for Cleveland next month. Gonna be a past. But I've never driven a TC3 on carpet. Only a XXX-S and Yokomo Special. So I guess the word is locked diff them? Gonna be racing Stock. Gmain more than likely haha.

I use an ultrasonic jeweley cleaner (about $20 @ wall mart) and denatured alchohol. I dont oil them as that merely attracts dirt. Ran a whole summer on parking lot w/no probs.

You can also get about 1 deg of toe in w/ factory parts. Don't remember the exact combination but if you measure the different pin carriers you can figure it out. Problem starts when you chang the w/b that much. Wish the a team would make angled hub carriers like they do for the t3. E-mailed them and they said "they'd lok into it". Redrilled my own. Works a lot better.

there are several ways to do this, some are putting erasers in place of diff balls and tightening down, others are pinning them...

but the best I've seen so far is from Dave Irrgang (IRS)

TC3 Straight Front Axle - machined from 7075 T-6 aluminum and hard coat anodized blue. Comes with ring gears and screws. We recommend using IRS147 pin cushions along with this axle to extend the wear.

I have one and it is real sweet....
