RCDan-O: the "plain" TC3 as you call it is the Racer Kit. Then there's a full option TC3 called the Factory Team TC3 Kit. Theres' also an "in-between" model called the Team Kit.

RCDAN,

There are the following:

TC3 RTR - Comes with speedo, 19 turn motor, & car
TC3 Racer - basically same car as TC3 RTR minus electronics...this is the basic kit with no hop-ups
TC3 Team - Has some hop-ups but not all
TC3 Factory Team - the whole ball of wax...

Obviously the price from Racer to FT can jump considerably...

you got a hooptie from all that hacking you do dyno No seriously if you need another graphite chassie I got a spare. I've read that alot of stuff can cause that chassie to tweak, from the motor mounts to....well I'll let the experts chime in.

All tc3 chassis's come with a tweak. It is from the cooling process after they pour the molds.

Not sure if 1/8th in is too much, but from what I've heard, the tweak is VERY consistent from car to car.

I'm new here. I have had my TC3 for a few weeks. I purchased it used, and have made some conversions to Factory Team components (chassis, screw kit, chassis braces, blue shock tops). It already had the IRS Blue Aluminum Drive Shaft, and Factory Team threaded shocks, and front/rear anti-sway bars. I have added all BRP bumpers (front/rear), and side nerf wings. I am running the Trinity P2K2 Pro with 29T pinion, and stock Spur. Nice power band. For tires, The HPI Xpattern 26MM. These are great tires in my opinion - good grip, and great wear!

I want to upgrade to an FM radio, but not sure I want to spend $280.00 for an M8!! Thinking about the Lynx 3D, perhaps, or the Airtronics MX3. I really want to go without crystals. So, for a receiver, I am considering the Novak Xxtra. For an ESC, the Novak GT7. Any ideas are most welcome!! Thanks!!!

Spend the money and get the M8, it is well worth it. I switched to one this year and it is an unbelievably sweet radio. Not all that impressed with anything hitec ahs built. A friend of mine had a top o the line JR and he switched to an M8 and his lap times improved. Maybe its just a feel thing.

with m8 you can go completely without crystals. Novak has a synth crystal module coming out in late november that uses no crystals. just like their xxtra receiver

Get the M8. You'll never have to get another radio. The Mx3 and even the JR xr3 are ok radios but they don't have the features that the M8 has and you'll need them. Mid range equipment is a waste of money

Someone has one in the for sale forum for $100. A steal if you ask me.

Default Thanks for the replies!

Much appreciated! I believe, I will get the M8. Then the Novak Xxtra Receiver, and the Novak GT7 ESC.

Hi,

I am thinking about buying a FT TC3,
is the blue aluminum shaft included ?
what spare parts should I buy ?

I heard about a steering problem, left and right steering is not equal, is it resolved ?
What about the chassis tweak ?
Is it a must to buy Losi hub carriers, what advantages ?

Regards,
