DONT DO IT MATT !!!!!! Tamiya medium rears and hard fronts are the best tyre for bayswater on a warm day... on a cold day run the softs on the back and mediums on the front...

I've finally got my 104 kicking ass in cold weather... with soft rears, and i'm sure the 60g of weights on each side pod thing is the reason for the awesomeness. It handles sensational now!!! Lets just hope now we're into warmer weather a tyre change will get it back to its state title winning glory

True test will be what lap times i can do in the race on sunday

Hey guys, I'm building my f104X1 later today and was wandering if there's anything special I should be doing to any of the plastic parts. And what lube are you using on the damper tube, and in the center shock. Thanks!

One observation... move the servo back, so the links are straight. I ran the car like that accidently once... not good! Now running them straight, and it does seem to be better (thanks to all who gave advice on that previously btw!).

It's interesting that Tamiya opted to go with CF material for the option long top deck. Considering the flex characteristics between CF and graphite I would've thought that using CF for the short deck and graphite for the long deck would've made more sense.

It was well worth the wait to transform my Pro to a hopped up blue X1.

At the moment, no... but I am getting very tempted too, as they have said it'll be brushless this year

Very similar front end to the BMI 1/12th front end...however I am no finding where the springs are at. I downloaded one of the pics and enlarged it and don't see any spring or flex plate. I'm scratching my head.

Nope, not TOP. If TOP was to build a car I have pretty good idea what it would look like.

There are 2 springs (1+1 booth sides of the car) underneath the carbon plate arms at the front axle , you can appreciate them in the pdf manual (just use my link). Is not visible in the photo because they are under the carbon parts.

The front slide movement is controlled by one front roll damper that links these two carbon arms... Interesting solution...

The car is also called "F1 Scythe", and sy-brand makes parts for T.O.P. racing but most of the parts are done by TRG..
