I would definitely like to own a W, I just wouldn't put WGT tires on it, keep F1 style foam or rubber on it

Currently our track doesn't use sugar water so foam tires get zip for grip and the stock rubber I doubt is going to be much better. I sure wish there was some aftermarket rubber the same size as the rears to make the car work. But we are going to be allowed to test with sugar water this month so I'm hoping I can get some nice big stock F103 foams and true them to the same size as the rubber on the car.

It's far from finished...I only cut out the main parts so far. I still have to cut out and mount the air intakes, the front wing side plates, the mirrors, and the driver. Also it still has the overspray film on it so it will look a lot better when it is done.

try to track down the Type A and B rubber tires they used to sell for the F-103LM and the McLaren MP4-13 F-103RS kits... that might be the ones your looking for.

but be advised, the rears are quite smaller than the rears found on the F-104W. the rears originally came from the re-issued Ferrari 312TB and Tyrrell P34. and if im not mistaken, Tamiya did not release spare rubber tires for these kits. instead opting to release or recommend the use of foam tires as replacements.

perhaps you might be better off using aftermarket rears?

just my 2 cents.
