or just sauce the fronts... start with no sauce rear, 1/4 sauce front... and slowly start saucing more of the front until you get the turn-in you want...

How are the Shimizu's at West Coast RC? (for those that race in SoCal)... I took my F104 to the track with the Tamiya option rubber (soft rear hard front) and the track was like glass (everyone was complaining.. even the 4WD guys) it was a practice night, so the track may not have been prepped

I'm using the stock T-bar, and no spring on my center shock... and silver can... thanks

Tamiya rubber tires have no chance on the rug.
The Shimizu tires that Sean stock are what you will find most all of the F104 pilots running.

RIDE tires work fairly well too, but require a setup with a bit of an open mind and some imagination . . .

stock black T-bar is too hard for rubber tires, try option high-traction T-bar(use small o-ring only), softest spring on oil damper and you will love your car much more

i'm going to try the newest compound(R3-S) for the rear and the front is old soft.

did you cover the whole wheel surface with glue or run a bead of glue along each edge? looks good by the way

seems many brothers do not know how shimizu's work on foam wheels, let me draw a picture to explain.
the outside part of the tire have a larger area in order to cover the wheel rim

black - wheel rim
green - tire
red - area to apply glue
blue - foam insert

As strange at it sounds... Shimizu's website in Japan recommends the stock harder T plate for rubber tires... But like everything in RC, what works for some does not always work for others...

i tried the stock t-bar and the car is very unstable.......maybe i'm not good enough in such setting..................
when i changed to softer t-bar then everthing is under control

That would explain why they look wider....they are
