Tamiya F104 Pro!

I believe it may fit. Just remember the arms are offset about 1.5cm further back so you will need to work out the size of the hole to cut for the front arms.
I just did this one with a Mclaren MP4/6 with trg advance front and rear wings (though the front wing needs trimming as it touches the tyre on full lock)

I'm still yet to test mine so I'm unsure what to expect. Actually I'm that happy with the paint job I did I'm reluctant to race it.

F104 Hop Up Recommendations
Hey guys,
I'm new to F1, but not to R/C. I just snagged a never-ran F104 (non-pro) and would like some advice on a couple items:
1) Are there any companies still around that are making accessories that allow the use of a traditional hardcase lipo? I have several 5000 mAh pack and it would sure be nice to use them in this car. I saw a couple upper chassis plates online but the companies appear to out of business or hibernating for the winter. Any suggestions?
2) Where should I look for a decent set of bearings? I don't need ceramic, and would rather not spend $80 on a set, and I can't seem to find a Tamiya set.
3) Tires - Any suggestions for rubber tires on high traction carpet? Also, how about asphalt?
4) What else am I missing? I'm a touring car guy and would like this to handle fairly well when I throw it on the track, but in the end I'm looking for a fun class to run as opposed to being super-competitive.
Thanks for the help, and I hope you all enjoy Austrailia this weekend - it's going to be interesting!

Hello
I have one week holiday and decided to try different top deck:
- toughest one
- softest one - allready have and works perfect
so... but I didn't find a interesting one on web...
original tamyia: top-deck extends battery, so there's a space between ESC and battery ... (everyone know that there can be problem with space in F104)
tamyia - link system: do not have link system, so....
and for both of them: there's no place for lipo-battery connectors, so here's my own top deck:
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-I...0/P1080867.JPG
1 hour to draw it and 1 hour to create it.. :-)
and there will be upgrades: hole for balancer connector into batter and more positions for the oil damper
entire album: https://picasaweb.google.com/1117646...5850399/F104F1

im have an issue at the moment...i have a 3racing f109 which i tried for the first time yesterday....just did donuts...anyway im thinking of either getting an f104 pro or a sakura fgx.....hmmmm we run on asphalt and then i see the f104x1.....and then theres the f104 black special......we will be running on rubber tires....
the reason i really want to go to tamiya is that i used to run them years ago....so you could say im used to them....
back to my issue.....would the pro be just as good as say the x1 and black special...apart from all the bling bits and other mods???....thanks in advance

Hi I'm just switching my f104 from silver can to 21.5 blinky as my track allows both. For the silver can the 93/25 ratio works perfect. Could anyone suggest what would the equivalent ratio be for a 21.5 d3 in blinky mode be? Just trying to avoid buying 10 pinions till I get the ratio right.
