Given your in Italy, I'm gonna guess ETS and Ride Rubber tyres?

If so, try the following...

Front end;
1.5deg camber, 1mm shim under inner ball joint
Gold (medium) spring,
Standard knuckle,
Tamiya AW grease on the kingpin
Front ride-height is restricted due to the inner diameter of the wheels, just get it as low as you can, will be about 6-5.5mm

Rear end;
Shock - Oil 30wt, Red Spring, 6 turns on collar (level pod)
T-bar - High traction (softest) or medium if car is too stuck at the rear
Cross damper - Tamiya soft damper grease
Ride height - 0 axle insert (~5mm)

Aero;
I used the F60 body and front wing, with standard 104Pro rear wing in high flap angle, but if I hadn't of broken it, I'd have used a TRG Advanced wing in middle flap position.

Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone can add to set-up advice by David Jun. TCS rules in mind, with Tamiya rubber recomendations for both asphalt and carpet.

My first TCS with rubber for my 104 pro, just like some exoert advice so I can hit the track running(only a 1 day event, Can't afford to go crazy @ a new track due to time constraints)

When we ran foam on carpet what worked for us was tamiya As in the rear always had As in the front and B fronts on standby.

I don't do 180mm car on foams, never did and don't plan on it so someone else can be of better help.
However on 200mm car, 15th anniversary premounts are bomb.

Anybody tried running their x1 without the roll damper?

I snapped mine first race yesterday and ran the next race without it before it was rained out for the night. Car actually really ran well without it.

Quite rediculous that you have to buy a whole upper deck assembly to replace the roll damper as it is the 3rd time I've heard of someone snapping theirs.

It is an optional setup mentioned in users guide for the F104 Separated Upper Deck #54278. There was a guy running this setup successfully (last summer outdoors).
Or go for Alum Roll Damper Set #54342. It should be out now.

Have anyone compared carbon vs. FRP lower deck for the outdoor foam racing?

Hi guys, I just finished building my f104 pro and was having troubles getting my batteries to fit.

I have 2 types as show in the pictures below.




The IP battery doesnt even slot in at all and the yeah racing fits however I cant fit the small battery secure piece as theres not enough room up top, any suggestions or am I not using the correct type of batts?

I'm in Canada, and our TCS races are rubber only carpet or asphalt, that's why I was asking if anyone would like to add to David Jun's guide with thier own experience with Tamiya rubber.

Any tricks or tips would be appreciated.
