but how do i get more grip?
Im struggling with mine a bit. The first test I had it working I thought pretty well, but the last time out it was a handful. Still trying stuff, although I will say the B compound slicks I think work better than the kits. What kind of a track are you running on?

hhhhmmm... If this is Andy from Carbondale, we're running F1's up in Saint Louis. The class is in it beginning stage but is growing quickly. So Far a couple of F103's, one F104 (with another coming), one F102 and a few HPI F10's. Racing on Sundays at the new carpet track Glidescope RC.

Back on topic..... Can someone tell me the differences between the kit tires and the options. Do the A come in the kit or B's?

I dont know if they are really A's, but for sake of reference we can go with that.
The B compound foams are harder than the A's, but they supposedly have a higher rubber content which will give more grip in certain conditions
The B's seem to be a bit more forgiving than the kit tires, im almost thinking that the A's are too grippy which is causing the twitchiness that we are experiencing

And it seems to imply that you use the standard kit rims.
looks like you glue the tires onto the stock foam rims, and the tires glue onto the sidewalls to cover up the "fake" sidewalls of the stock rims...

interesting, but I think I'll wait until the Tamiya setups are available... also it seems that the Shimizu tires won't be available until January anyway, while the Tamiyas might be ready by early December

Building my F104 Pro at the moment. I'm almost done only the tires and the electronics need to be mounted. Below some pictures of the build.
