Here is the Body from ebay I was talking about. Says it is lexan? Just wonder if anyone seen it in person? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...vip=true&rt=nc

Also which bodies will fit the f104 pro? I see f104w bodies I like- That clean 90's look will they work?

What if the body only says f104?

Also if anyone has any painted bodies they want to sell pm me w/ pix

if you're going to run the F104w body - then you need to change over the front suspension to the F103-styled one...the F104w have lower noses (to match the F103 suspension)

either the F104 Pro, F60 or McLaren (new one) will fit a F104 with the non-wide front end

Here's a picture of a car build with F104 front suspension and F103 or F104W body... don't know the details but it should probably work somehow.

That's a sweet car

I just cut out for the 104 arms instead of the 103. Not as clean because no lines for reference but it works. And it looks pretty cool imo.

Yeah I had that feeling that it is from some of the locals here ...and I really like the look with modern rear spoiler and narrow wheels!
Is it on Exotek chassis? Are there any problems with clearance in the place of roll damper?

That McLaren body doesn't look as well done as the Tamiya...Also looks like it might be plated on the outside which would scratch up when it flips and likely the plating will crack.

Yes its my F1R. No problems with roll dampener. Did have to cut a little extra on side for the links but not a lot.

Yeah I didn't think it might be painted on outside. I think the main turn off is the basic shape of the side paontoons is wrong shape..

Side note- I have a original f104 pro body coming with my new to me car. And it also looks odd to me. Anyone know what year this body is a copy of in real f1?

It's modeled after an early to mid 2000's car, it's actually pretty good

In my point of view the 2005 McLaren MP4-20 was probably the main object of inspiration...
