robk,

I am going to try to put a few drops of ca on it. It that does not work I may end up going to the Tamiya gear with 8 diff balls instead. Just not liking the wobble action thats going on.

I run Kawada gears and the tamiya spur adapter and never once had an issue with the spacer coming out. There is bugger all wobble from side to side either. Perhaps the Kawada gears are a better fit?

When using a standard spur gear with adapter, only use 1/8" diff balls
3mm diff balls are for the metric Tamiya type spur gear

If the Spur gear adapter does not fit snug, there will be run out, which will make proper gear mesh impossible

Try to find a Spur gear that fits the adapter better, some gears have too large an I.D. to work with the adapter, even though this should be a standard size

You can also use 64p pinion gears with the Tamiya Spur gear, in the larger sizes 30+ the mesh is close enough to work without any issues

There will always be some side to side play in the spur gear, this is normal & should never cause any problems

kawada use 1/8 balls......in regards to your adapter moving.....are you sure you are using the bearing on the inside of the outside diff hub???? that seems to hold it in place on mine.....also you didnt make the hole bigger on your spur gear did you????

just a thought

Didn't realise this.

I've been using 3mm diff balls in my kawada gears. Haven't noticed an issue yet though.

my diff only lasted a run with the 3mm balls (which were ceramic) as it melted the holes on the spur gear....i changed to the 1/8 balls after a fellow racer told me to...still going strong

I have a F104ProX1 and i'm racing on carpet. I remember reading in the past where people removed the center screw from T-bar and gluing a piece of shock foam over this hole but i can't seem to find this post again. Can somebody either explain this to me or link me to this post!!!
