thanks a bunch.
the W is the latest release of the tamiya f104 cars...its made for use with rubber tires...its only wider because it uses the old f103 type tires but you can convert quite easily to run narrow f104 wheels and tires by updating the front end..

The GP comes with foams now. Nice huh?
We get to run the 104 as a W with foams at the TCS carpet races.

i've ran both the past few weeks, and my preference on the surface I race is the F104. My track is low to grip asphalt, mainly racing at night.

For the life of me I can't get the FGX to turn like the F104. While I like getting in the throttle a little earlier with it, overall the F104 is quicker over the entire lap.

Of course, others may have had better results with it on asphalt, but as much as I enjoyed 3racing coming up with the IRS design, IMO out of the box, the F104 is a much better car then the FGX.

just my 2c

+1. i like my fgx but right now my 104 is humming and to get my fgx up to that standard is going to take lot of trigger time

thanks guys.....im thinking of getting the WGP for now as i can use my f103 wheels and tires.....

i was also thinking of getting either the pro or black special.....and getting the X1 upper deck set....but have found a place which has the X1

the best value for money atm is the WGP...but i also like the new type of car....but not too sure about the friction damper setup......

what do you 2 think??

Did your kit come with foams? I don't think mine did.

That track is so small...Nice track!

Wow, for that track build up a F104W GP stock and find some good rubber tires for it. Also build up an F104X1 and install the R-Sector wide kit and see which is faster.
