I could probably even fit a 104 front end on it..

Its an option for ppl that have these cars sitting on the shelf is all.. get more cars running f1.. mix it up a bit.. get some cheap 3 racing parts and its able to run. Can run any F103/04 control tire.
it could run at our track. We only require 21.5 and rubber F1 specific tires. Hell, we had a guy running F103 foams with us today, we dont care at the moment.

good that tamiya released the option parts for the up grade on the F104 pro
so we could get our pros to be a X1

the car feels better on asphalt i like the 7000 diff oil on the tube.
how often are you guys cleaning it and re applying the oil ?

Same reason I quit 1/12 scale. Cost of support equipment alone, like Comp. Electronics battery chargers on top of tire truers and (back in the day) comm. lathes. Now you need a laptop to bring to the race to fine tune radios and esc's. It's not necessarilly the car that makes it expensive to race.

warnos, I'm waiting to hear how you like your converted Corally. You got me looking around for a leftover Corally. D.Drive has one listed. I guess I'm not as ambitious as some of you are , to mod the chassis and make something cool.

finished my f104x1 kit with F60 lw body. I'll use it as a practice body until BP makes some nice Force India decals ;-) Fitted it with the new Orion R10 with 17.5 stock. Had my first try on carpet last saturday, with the tamiya rubbers there is not much frontgrip but I had lots of fun. Lowprofile servo also in a better position with an exotek servomount. Can't wait to run it outside on our track (mach heemstede) ;-)

hi, i want to get an f104 x1, can some one please list the best servo to use with this chassis, that will fit the best, as well any building tips, the car will be run on carpet, any option parts i need to purchase, etc, I used to own a f103 and could never get it to handle, so I give the f104 a go, I am building it to tcs specs, so will be running a silver can motor in it, any advice thanks

Just to show you how out of touch I am...

TEAM ORION IS NOW MAKING SERVOS?!?!?!?!

That over with...now I just have to figure out how to order one. Our browsers here at work act funny sometimes so I'm assuming I don't see an "Add to Cart" button because...well...this browser sucks.

Has anyone tried fitting an F103 body to an F104?
I have an F104pro and wanting that old school look as well and thought about getting one.
I was going to change the front end to the wide arms as well if I have to as well to keep the scale look.
