Default Probably the new F104WGP

Visit www.tamiyablog.com.

This is probably the new Tamiya F104WGP car, a hybrid between F103 front and F104X1. By looking at the chassis, it's replacing the side electronics holder with chassis plate.

I'm looking at changing the roll dampening on my F104 pro possibly. Has anyone used this setup? TRG5097

How does it compare to the X1 setup?

Are either an improvement over the original friction damper?

Thanks!

I know this isn't the 104 I'm talking about but when i put an exo104 chassis on my 103rm my rear grip was improved over the stock friction plate system.

So much more confidence in the corners with the side damper setup.

Although i think the 103rm still works better on tighter tracks where you're less worried about losing the back end. I tend to get the nose around the corner and worry about the rear later with a touch of off power mid corner.

Also might be the shorter wheel base of the 103rm vs the exo that makes it better on tech tracks imo.

I race on an 8th scale track normally so the exo's rear grip is king there.

My ride. Tamiya 14T brushless. Car was swerving to the right under hard acceleration, so I separated the rear tplate w/ pod and balanced that left to right. Then balanced the entire car on scales.

That fixed the problem. Car now accelerates straight.
