ok guys, this thread got me exited about f104 racing, so I'm reading up on the parts I need. I will order the f104x1 and some other stuff, but I'm in the dark about the tires. I want to run rubber only, so wich tires for indoor (carpet) and for outdoor (MACH Heemstede Netherlands). Tamiya, Pit, Ride, etc, etc?

The general consensus here in So Cal for asphalt are the Pit Shimizu 571 and 572.

I know there were LRP and other brands too.

ESC used are anything frpm Mamba max pro to hobbyking.

I know there are a few videos from our lajf racing F1 on youtube...
I will get more info this evening as I am the office now.... youtube is NOT allowed..
Hi Tudor 47
Found videos from the track in Ístersund broadcast on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i-EG6MEee8
It is not very technical, it is a very fast track, so I understand that 17,5 is too little to go by.
Our track in Luleň is much more technical and there are 17,5 a perfect choice

Cuda, replied to your email just now.

We will be getting the 54332 counterweights and 54331 upper deck/roll dampers soon, if not tomorrow. Keep an eye on the site!

Mathijs?
Indoor i can't give you advice but for outdoor we used these on the F103 PS-0543 front and rear PS-0545
This was with the DTC this year.
For the F104 use the same compound.
They only have a different number.
Also used where the A-slicks from Tamiya at the rear and the B-slicks on the front

regards Roy

Does the counter weight actually do anything? Is there a noticeable difference in handling or what the cars does? Are people seeing faster lap times or is it just a the cars feels better because I have type thing(placebo)?

i havent got mine yet but i would have thought the counter weight should balance the rear end a little and provide less torque steer under acceleration..

not long and my gear will be here

Hey guys quick question on gearing ....so I am running on carpet with a silver can ok....I had a 93 tooth spur with a 30 pinion on it for like 30 races and the motor lasted no problem ....I put the same gearing on a new silver can and the motor blew !! So I got another silver can and put a 104 spur with a 29 pinion and guys were faster then me running a 25 and a 104 but besides that my silver can running the 29/104 combo blew after one 5min run ???? I'm using a wolf pack 3000 batt with a tekin fx what combo should I put in there where I'm gonna be fast and not blow the motor ?
