Hello! I would like your opinion on something. Does the Exotek's chassis makes X1 better? For sure you forget T-Bars and have carbon gear case and a alu. damper but, is it worth as a hop up?
FS104WW When will it be available? Where can i buy this?
thanks in advance

I bought mine from BP Shadow here. He collected the parts and sold me a F140 Exotek. So I do not have the F104 chassis parts the Exotek replaces and did not have to pay for them either.

I'm running an F104 F60 with most the pro parts minus the decks an it's currently running a lrp speed controller that was first used on Noahs Ark!! Lol
I've got a 10.5 brussless motor an need a speed controller that will fit the car but don't want to spend to much! Any 1 got any suggestions or links? Or will the motor be to much?
Thanks

Way to much motor in there.
Start with a 21.5 or a 17.5.
If you can master on of those then work your way down the turns.
If your not running it in wide config with Pro10 tires, then 17.5 is the way to go with no timing.

I would say if you go for brushless, go for the Tekin.
It is the smallest out there if i am not mistaken.
You can run it blinky mode(no timing) or go all the way with timing, boost and turbo.
If you go brushed and have a max motor at you track, check the amps it is drawing at max load and take a ESC that can cope with 20 to 30% extra power.

Fastest i have run in the F1(tamiya) is a 17.5 without timing.
It also depends on what motor you are using.
If it is the X12 set the mechanical timing to -10 degrees as it has way to much torque when on zero or more timing.
The tekin on zero degrees is a lot easier to drive.

I think the 13T Hobbywing is just made for these cars, works nicely in mine

The size of motor must depend on the track?
I have run Mamba max with the 5700 in my F1(F109), I drove the 17.5 for a full series (Lajf Racin F1 Sersies) and ended the year by using the 13.5 motor as the common feeling was that the 17.5 was to slow on our track.
So next year we will be allowing 13.5T motors in our serie.
10.5T motors has also been run successfully on our track in F1 chassie (F109)
We run foamwheels and no tire additives or track preparations.
The last outings with the 13.5T motors gets the F1 more in tune as it is faster and F1 should be fast, after all F1 is a fast class in real life.
AS it was with the 17.5 is was full throttle on all parts of the track except our most tight 180 turn. The F1 chassi is OK with the increased speed. I assume that we will have a few of 3Racings FGX on our track next season.
/Johnny
PS
Our rules have max gearing, free timing on ESC and motor but NO dynamic timing in ESC allowed. All F1 1:10 electric chassis are allowed.
There are more reports on the lajf.se web page from our F1 serie...
