Looks like the ultimate factory kit to me
Doesn't look like it needs any after market parts.
Might take some running in though!

Deffo needs running in time
A lot of running in time
Looks like no hop up parts needed in this kit.
Think it won't be a cheap kit tho

I'd hope she'd be down for the Ultimate "F" 1 rules.

2 minute qualifier and 3 10 minute mains.

Count me in for the Open class.
Hmmm, Realistic class sounds good too.

Ok, sign me up for both but I choose Open class to score points in.

Gonna need lots of diff lube.

Hi guys,

I have recently bought and built an F104 Pro. In a short space of time I have had it both spur gears have been damaged. The teeth have had some small chunks taken out causing it to "click" quite bad while running. I have used a piece of paper/plastic between the gears when spacing the motor as it is instructed. Is there anything I am doing wrong or I should look at to help make them last longer?

I have bought the white racing Tamiya spurs as spares, are they stronger then the normal grey ones?

Cheers

if you are chipping your gears and the mesh is okay you may have picked up a small rock of some sought 64p needs very fine backlash i wouldnt use paper.

if your going to use any other spur gears other then the stock ones you will need the spacer

I was planning to race gas offroad o nthe 4th but apparently the race meet has been cancelled, so F1 it is !!! I did all sort of damage today to the 104... destroyed a rim and broke the rear left wheel hub after hitting the pit wall coming onto the main straight... destroyed the rim too.

Had my first shot with the Exotek chassi today too. My initial thoughts are that in cooler weather the exotek is better than the 104, however in warmer weather nothing can beat the 104 with medium tamiya rubber all round... it just works.

Default F104W Exotek

Anyone got a good F104W setup for foam tyres and an exotek chassis on carpet?

Hi All, this thread has helped me a lot as a newbie that only started RC 2 months ago.

Attached are some pics of our local club race at FRC bangkok this weekend. Managed a 3rd overall out of 14 in the F1 so well chuffed with my first RC race. Great fun with the F1's running 14.3's fastest laps and Hara in the Touring cars doing 12.8's.
