offroad stuff is usually 2.2", how are you planning to get them to work with F1 tires?

THe only way to get GT tyres on F1 wheels is the old school way:

Find some piping that is snug but not tight on the wheel, then find one that is tight snug for the tyre (you may need 2 tubes), cut tubes to width of tyres or wheels, drill a tiny hole on opposite side of these pipe and wheel for grub screws or small screws (best place all pipes and wheels together) glue tyre to pipe then assemble all on to wheel and use grub screw to hold all in place (remember these are like locating lugs, so do not have to be done up tight), you then have GT tyres on to any size of wheel you use.

I don't know yet. I do know they are a little softer than the onroad inserts. Will probably build up a standard and option set of Tamiya F104 rubber as a starting point.

got mine yesterday, have had a play with it only in the street, but does look promising. do have a big F1 race meet coming up next weekend, but i'm away for work all week, so won't get a chance to tinker with it, so hopefully the set-up out of the box so to speak will work.

i will try it with rubber tires first and hopefully see some improvement.

robk, any hint's with set-up would be appreciated if your happy to share

I've got mine installed but I am sans electronics right now

If anyone tries to fit the micro LiPo's on the exotek, snap a pic, I'm trying to find a good way to run them

I ran it on carpet with foams, so i may not be able to help much. Honestly, I think if you build it per instructions, you will be on pace immediately. I did build it with a 103 front end and 103 tires and it is like a giant 1/12 car.

Drop it right in, use the 2 screws to hold the pack down, and put all the electronics in the center.

The F109 is a great car, but having been doing the "F1 rotisserie" in anticipation of the US Indoor champs at Cleveland, the Exotek is cash money on the barrel head. I have been running the normal 103, the 109, the HPI Super F1, and this car. In spite of my predictions, the 103 was actually the fastest, at first. This car is just as fast with almost zero time on it, but way easier to drive.
