Aluminum can indeed oxidize, but anodizing does a good job of preventing that.
The culprit here is an effect called galling.

Hi Faroh, if you are using foam tires you should be thinking about roll-out. The size of your rear tires will determine what gear you should be running. For the track I run on we use a roll out of 51 to 54. You will need to keep an eye on your motor temp. as you search for the right rollout. Check out
Gearchart.com for a roll out chart for your size tires.

Yeah if you used it in TC with a BL motor you have to remember to change the motor type to brushed or it won't work with the silver can motor.

Burt....
I got a hold of a 104Pro. Oh boy, the wheels are turning already. I put one race day on it and got my ass handed to me. So many things to address. I applied a short course of corrections to see if I am out of my mind, but we'll see this Sat. This is just a skinny pan car with a funky t-bar. Should be able to make it work!
Oh, forgot to mention that I spent a scant 72 hours in Honolulu a few weeks ago. I didn't call. That was rude. I'll have to come back.
