I would suggest running the 103 rear tires so you don't have a
crazy offset thing going on.
The 103 pins have notches to hold the knuckle in place and hold the spring at the bottom of the arm.
Thanks for all the hints guys. I ordered some kingpins, but inadvertently, not the standard ones

I picked up the 53119 "special" ones and I've attached the instruction sheet for people's benefit. The spring does indeed fit between the knuckle and the upper arm.

Cheers,
Phil.

Hi,

Could you advise at what point are you getting your understeer?

On turn-ins/off-power or on-power?

If it is on-power, How is your diff setup?

If it is off-power, have you tried 0.5 degree of toe out?

Is the problem equal on both left and right turns?

Thanks.

We are driving on a carpet indoor track and it seems like I can't keep up with all the others in the infield. To get arround the corners I have to drive slow and have to take the corners wide. It seems like I get not enough weight on the front tires.

Here is my setup:

F104 Ferrari F60

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...8023&sid=20068

- Type A foam tires
- soft gold M chassis spring
- 200 weight Tamiya Oil
- 3 whole shim in damper
- teflon friction plates with no grease
- kit springs on the front
- 1 degree camber
- 0 degrees toe (neutral)
- jack the gripper for saucing ... half on the fronts/full on the rears
- kit T-bar
- rideheight in the fron 4mm 5.5 in the back

I don't know what the problem is but I need more corner speed to be competitive. Can it be that because of the soft setup in the rear not enough weight gets transferred to the front while breaking? The other problem is this track is bumpy as crazy and so the car should be soft in the rear otherwise you loose contact on the fast straight.

The car is also really twitchy for that I will try more Expo the next time like most of you guys recommended.

Anyone ideas about the problem?

Thanks

Steve

If I start racing, which kind of stuff (spare parts, tires, tools, oils, etc.) do I need for a whole race weekend (tamiya cup germany)?

They are side damper tubes much like you see on 1/12pan cars except they are lever actuated when the rear pod moves left or right. They do not actuate when the pod moves front to back. Simple yet ingenious
Damper tubes are generally more consistent then damper pucks.

Hey my Homies!

What setup tips can you give me for my new F104 (F60) with rubber tires to get around the carpet at TQ?

I've got kit tires for front and rear + a set of options for the rear too.

So, are F1s running in the 24?

Great!

Now I gotta get the pod plates and diff hub parts just to match my MP25 scheme.
The Tamiya blue pretty much clash with every F1 team livery out there lol.

hahah!

i just finished my F60 earlier (minus the bodyshell) and mentioned to my friend how sexy the F104 is without any blue aluminium upgrade attached. especially with that red front and rear wings.

seemed that tamiya heard me and quickly put rcmarket to post the limited edition black anodized alum upgrades.....

oh no.....
