i ran the tamiya rubbers over 6 daytime races on a low grip asphalt track, and they did hold up ok, but agree with RedBullFixx that they do tend to wear quickly. I've been cleaning mine after each race with simple green, and that has given me good grip...I would say even better then FX in day time running.

I've tried the soft tamiya rubbers at night, and still have some work to do on those to make them work, but after ready about the ride tires, for the extra cost, if they are wearing better then the tamiya's, they might be the go.

Yeah I wish they would repop the 103 rubbers in A and B compounds, those were some great tires

I hear the H1 compounds are good too.

For the RIDE tires you will need the RIDE wheels.

Tamiya tires seem to wear out failry quick, and don't offer any more grip than the RIDES.

Pit Shimizu are ok, but not as durable as the RIDES.

To be honest, none of the 104 rubber tires are impressive compared to the 103 rubbers, but this is what we have so far.

Here is the translated link to RIDE
http://translate.google.com/translat...rc-ride.co.jp/

They are available thru RCmarket, or RCmart

Not easy to find at times.

The H1 Med front & Rear seem to be the "official" tire for a Japan series, maybe that is a good compound to start with ?

I see with the release of the Wolf WR1 that it will be based on the F104 rear. The information states that the rear tyres used will be those that are used on the Tyrrell P34 Six Wheeler.

Does anyone know how much wider these rear rubber tires are in comparsion to the current F104 rubber. I'm curious to see the size difference to see if it might be worthwhile trying them for outdoor tracks.

The p34 rears do not work..sit and spin all the way. (I have two sets).

Good news is the rims work well with the rubber trg f103 tires and I think they should work with ride tires too.(you just need to trim the inner bead a hair).

Wheel width/offset is the same as a rubber f103 tire with the sidewall sort of bulging over the rim a bit.
