Default aluminium body mount

today just arrived me 54200 aluminium body mount, but the rear 2 mounts are meant to be screwed instead of the kit included clips. how did you atached them? the hexagonal holes seam to be a bit large for a regular button head screw... thanks

Default A-rubber tires

Has anybody found a source for A-brand Tamiya rubber tires for sale? The A rubber was supposed to be released this month.

And thanks for the cold weather setup tips.

The 3racing arbor says it does the fronts and rears, we've got one ordered from HK enroute to Horsham, I'll post up if it works on both front and rears.

For those of you who are planning to run your F-104 at this years USA TCS events just a "heads-up".

You MUST, i repeat, MUST run the electrical equipment mounting "trays" installed on the posts as per the assembly instructions. I received this information and confirmed directly with Fred Friday.

I only bring this up because I don't want anyone to be turned away from a TCS race because they do not have all the parts installed on their chassis that are now required to be deamed legal to race. The trays also dictate what batteries will fit as no lightening or material removal is allowed.

ALSO, have you read the silver can 540-J rules posted 2-17-10?

There are draconian RPM & Amp Draw limits for the 540-J's. read them @ http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/ln...PM%20rules.pdf

Edidted due to my inability to read and comprehend simple english..Doh

I quote: " Note: Lubing the bushings and even using Comm drops is legal."

I am not to sure the no lube on the bushings is a good idea and will hold up to common sense scrutiny. It is my experience that no lube leads to rapid bushing wear resulting in a junk motor paper weight.
So Marty are you running F1 rubber?
It doesnt say you have to run the bushings dry

Why you need to buy the top plate?
Just cut the top plate and add 2mm shim under the upper arms at the servo mount.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/6500026-post1380.html
The chassis is more flex and the handling is better.
