I was trying to setup my new esc with my pro card !.03) and I get
Please upgrade software
every time I turn on esc
and also Apply button isn't on.
I can change settings using the normal card and esc has V1.10_090205g_w
Is there a new update somewhere? I checked the website but couldn't find anything.

Hi solara and sosidge
Thanks for the feedback! So I guess at the end of the day, yes, more power does make the car more difficult to drive, particularly if it is a shaft car due to torque steer, but this can be overcome with good setup and SKILLZ - more practice time required at the track then!
Cheers!

I'm afraid he didn't. His word title was with a belt-drive Yokomo, all the world's since then have also been won by belt cars (either Tamiya or HB).
The torque steer on shaft cars DOES make them hard to drive when there is more power than grip. The world's best drivers can hustle anything around, for most of us we need something easy to drive for five minutes - belts are the answer.
Belts will fail. Probably more likely than with a well engineered and prepared shaft car.
tns - I doubt that the software will make the motor too fast for the car, it is a sound design if you add a couple of well chosen hop-ups. But it may be too fast for the conditions or for your skills!

just checked my card, i made a mistake it was at 7.
what setting do u think #4 should be?
the advice from the other thread only covers #9 onwards.
it is very good advice though as it really explains how each of the functions add up. i now understand fully function #15.
im off to the track soon so il let u know how i get on, cant wait to see my lap times, just please dont rain!!
