anyone tried this ESC? I want to use it for world GT 1s 13.5.

I run that in my 12R5.2 and it works great. You may want to look into getting the green timing board if you don't have one already. It might help in raising the timing if you are racing on a larger track.

I will order the ESC combo today and post how it goes. I have the 17.5 using the reventon pro ESC with the stock board. I will order a new timing board to add more timing.

NM I found the answers to my questions.

Pick up the Reventon Pro 1.1 and don't bother with the motors. Fast yes, but only when you have the right timing board #hassle.

Why should we pay extra for additional timing adjustments? Silly don't you think?

Pick up an ORCA TX

I just picked up a GT 2.1 Pro Stock and want to use this in my sedan with a D3.5 6.5T motor. I understand that the stock software needs to be flashed or upgraded to enable me to use a low wind motor otherwise damage will occur. Is there a specific profile that I need to access through the LCD box? I've been running 17.5 blinky and using mod motors is new to me.

You will need to download the software from the SP website and install on your PC.
Then you can connect your LCD programmer box to the PC via the USB cable and to the ESC. Connect a battery to the ESC and turn it on. Go to the software tab in the SP application and select new software desired (MOD or no timing) then hit update/upgrade. It will do it's thing and then the speedo will have the desired software installed. It may not be recommended to run a low turn motor on this ESC as it is a "stock spec" ESC. You would be better off with the GT2.0 pro in Mod TC.

I have the LCD box connected to the laptop, ESC connected to the LCD box, ESC connected to a 2S lipo and I have V1.37 of the software interface up and running. Power up the ESC and the LCD says 'Connecting PC' and I seem to be connected.

In the 'Software' tab, which software profile do I select? There is a V1.10 mod, V2.0 mod and V3.0 mod. I also see several stock profiles but don't want these with the 6.5 motor.

You can download V1.38 from the US website and you will want to use either 428 MOD or 508 NO TIMING.
508 No Timing will not allow any boosting (safest). 428 MOD will allow limited boosting but can probably get you in trouble with a low turn motor on this ESC.

Is there are reliability issue with the Reventon S series? Picked up 4 to replace my 3 racers and my son's (spec class) and one gave it up on the 2nd qualifier (blinky 13.5 in TC)

Hi everyone,

Im hoping someone might be able to help me. I have got a brand new Reventon R esc with 17.5t motor for my b44 buggy. Ran it yesterday without issue, then it suddenly stopped working - temps were low - no exact numbers taken but everything was cold to touch.

At first I just though thermal protection, then when I noticed it was cold thought i was lipo cutoff kicking in.

Came home and charged my battery, went to test it and no power is coming through at all - the fan is not working - nothing!!

Have tried 2 other batteries and also tried all 3 on my other car and all work fine - but no power getting through at all on the SP ESC.

Could it be a faulty switch? Or is my new ESC a complete waste of money and now toast?

Please help

I have just connected the PC programmer to the ESC and it is getting very hot around esc where the lead plugs in. I think the ESC may be faulty based on this rather than the switch.

So what do I do now?

Anyone have an issue with LRP X20 motors and Rev Pro? Runs fine without the sensor wire installed. Runs for a minute or less then acts like it goes into over heat mode? I have seen warnings about Viper motors doing this. Is this the same issue?

We ordered a Reventon R esc, do I need to get a program card/box or can just set it up with an iphone? We're using a SP 10.5T motor with it. Thanks!

Hi, I sent in my Reventon Pro 1.0 esc to get serviced. I waited a month and called them up. Took forever for them to respond and that they can't fix my esc. I used mine for a few months. Lack of communication, this is my last Speed Passion product.

Hi All Speed Passion Guru's. I have a revention 1.1 pro 2 cell ESC and the website says it can run 1 cell as well. Has anyone run 1 cell lets say a 1/12 scale before and is there anything i would have to do like run the RX of a booster battery etc or is this built in like other ESC that run 1 cell.
Thanks guys.
