Since the new stock software is public now, can you share what you have found in terms of gearing/motor timing changes to the 312? Or is it just a case of update, run it, TQ?

i am running the SP GT2 PRO with a 11.5T, what software should i use??
what is the difference with the term u guys r using... firmware and software??
sorry to ask silly question new to EP

but, to be honest, i can't feel where gearing's good. brushed, yeah, that was no problem. brushless, eh, it all feels the same to me (short of being undergeared and revving out) at the moment.
the stock profile is alright. i really liked 312, and when i went over to 'stock' it seemed softer on the low end. good for some motors, maybe not for others. same laps, though, but i'm running on a 90ft track, and using a 13.5. i left the stock profile loaded for the NEGS race this weekend.
what i do know is that if you don't use the sensor wire with 'stock' loaded, the esc will not shift into the second segment of the profile. so, i'm deducing that it probably employs an rpm based trigger point where timing makes a step jump (to another fixed timing level). it's smooth, though. you can't tell at all on the track.
all that said, it's fine. but i think it's going to need to be tested in vta or on a long track with a slow motor to be better qualified as a true enhancement for the stock racer.
as always, it will appear faster when you take teeth off, due to the noise you'll hear when it spools up. and you'll get more braking effect (from the gear change). it may even pull better off the straight. but the times have shown no noteworthy improvement to me, thus far.

if the LCD Programmer comes in, I can try out the settings assuming the weather holds for VTA. this however would be with the following electronics, but the same type of cars (Academy STR4 Pro IIs, shaft drive)
- RFI 4000mah 25C Lipos
- Tekin 21.5 in one, Epic Duo 2 21.5 in another (I am going to set the timing to zero on both to try it out)
- Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro with the Tekin, GT2.0 LPF with the Duo 2
- RFI 4000mah 25C Lipos

Thank you Seaball....
Before the STOCK profile, I was running 323a with 4.8 final drive and DRRS 9, AMTS Max with stock motor (on motor) timing. Great setup.
I have ran 30 plus packs with the "stock" profile(s) the last 1.5 month and here is what I think..."stock" profile is good for 13.5 and faster motor (ie 11.5T), it has very noticable, improved brake/drag brake and motor temp is WAY COOLER then the previously unrelease "stock" profile.
Timing on the "STOCK" profile can be max (26.25*), DRRS are 8 or 9 (not much of a different). Gearing...at the most recent race, racing at a very short, tight carpet track....5.2 final drive is comparible to other speedo/motor for 13.5. (I was told others with Duo2 motor, LRP or TEKIN, were using close to 8.0 final drive). I would say 5.0 can be the MAX (unfortunitely I don't have the time to keep testing that). For longer and more open carpet track, I think we can gear just like the 323a software (and setting) and check lap time....it deifintely has the power, speed, just like Tekin and LRP.......but 1 cool thing is, when I was running the last 2 races with that profile. after 6 minutes of hard racing, my motor did not exceed 135*. That tells me I have plenty of ROOM to gear up....
Not that I would need to since the car has the power on the straight and infield but at least I know it won't fried the motor or getting the motor upset. I was testing on the new V3 13.5 and the 3 years old SP V1 13.5 black can and both came up pretty much the same.....my V3 was set @ 5* timing, plug at the center, default position.
May be I will go back to try the 312 for a 17.5 and 13.5 and do another comparison....but I know the 323 with 13.5 (DRRS 8/9, AMTS max, stock motor timing) with 4.8 final drive is very much a best all around setup for any carpet track....

One one hand you are saying that the new stock profile has power like the Tekin and LRP, and on the other you are saying that the 323 (mod) profile is the best for 13.5.
So which is it?
