Default reventon s voltage cutoff failing?

I've just bought the Speed Passion Reventon S V3.0S 3500KV Combo.

Im running a 2s 5200 mah battery and i've got the voltage cutoff set to 3.4v/cell but it doesn't cutoff. ran it twice now and battery has got down to 5.8volts. Shouldn't it cut off at 6.8volts?

I've upgraded the firmware and reset everything. Adjusting all the other settings appear to work. But still won't voltage cutoff and my lipo got taken down to 5.8volts again.

I have been out of the rc scene for 15years and upgraded to brushless pretty much because esc has lipo protection. So quite dissapointed.

Any Advice out there?

I bought a ESC Reventon Pro EX 1.1 1 Cell and they refuse to work with 1 cell. Indkator just flashes and then silence. If you connect 2 cell all works.
What do I do?

try setting your voltage cutoff to what 1S would use.

It may be that to do setting changes you need to hook up a 2S lipo like we did back in the day with GT2.0s.

So I got a few issues. Just bought a Speed Passion Revention Pro 1.1 with a Speed Passion v3.0 6.5 motor. Basically this kit right here; http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speed...item27dc8584b5

ISSUE 1
After running a few weekends with this combo, I noticed today when I pulled off the track a light blinking on the esc. I believe it is the light on the right next to the receiver plug in. I turned on every time I ran for any amount of time.

ISSUE 2
The motor will not run cool. I have this motor in a desc210 and I have the gear set at 86/20 which is the correct gearing for that motor. Well I ran for 1 minute and the temperature would rise to 150. I changed the gearing to 86/18 and the motor still heated to 150.

ISSUE 3
During a race, the car will "stall" or act like it is off then quickly come back to life. I noticed it happens whenever power is applied.

Sorry for the book. I just purchased this combo 2 weeks ago and I am having issues already and I am getting nervous. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Andrew

Sounds like you've got the LVC set quite high. Either set to 2.8v/cell or switch if off completely.

You need to post your esc settings as it sounds like your driving that motor too hard. Do you have a fan blowing onto the motor?

I also noticed the motor has become louder. Sounds like a bearing squeaking. Also I do have a fan on the esc and I run a mid motor setup.

Here are my settings
1. Running mode - Std Forward with Brake

2. Lipo Cutoff - 3.2v/per cell

3. Timing - 0

4 Response System - Level 5

5 Braking - 40%

6. Drag - 0%

7. Neutral - 6%

8. Over Heating - Enable @ 95

I don't think 150deg is too high. I've seen plenty of on and offroad motors work fine at that temp....my own included.

Try gearing it up. With a 7.5 i run 26/86.

anyone here try running a 21.5 SP motor in 1/10 2wd buggy? reason I ask is that for my daughter I am thinking of equipping her vehicle with one of these motors to start out with, but not sure for gearing, timing etc. to use. I have it laying around from USGT with a yellow timing board. Vehicle will be a dex 210.

I am having problem setup hybrid boost on my PC, I don't have any motor turns option under the hybrid boost page, I can't input any number of turns in the "Motor Turns" column. I can change or update the firmware but not hybrid boost option, am I missing something or did something wrong? any idea?
