  • Quote: Solara or anyone, can you answer the following?

I am right now looking at the following:

1/12 Stock Blinky: GT2.1 Pro Stock, GT2.0 LPF,
1/10 Touring Blinky: GT2.1 Pro Stock, GT2.0 LPF, Revention R

I know this overkill, but I do rotate electronics at times so I need stuff to be versatile and the only thing where "stock" is done is indoors in the winter.

For 1/12, am I correct in assuming that the GT2.1 Pro Stock and the GT2.0 LPF can use the TQ Booster without issues?

Lastly, am I correct in assuming there are no issues as far as fitment, etc with using the 12.5mm rotors in the V3.0 series of motors, regular and 1 Cell? (sorry, I know this sounds dumb, but I don't want to order something and essentially have a paperweight)

Also, Can you set the Cirtix ESC to a cutoff voltage level safe for 1S lipo usage with a programmer or something?

I am assuming you can set a voltage cutoff level for 1S lipo usage on the GT2.0/2.1 series of ESCs, regardless of type (Pro, LPF, Pro Stock), is that correct?

I got in my 1/12 stuff, tried the novak edge ... I want my speed passion stuff and programmer card! No more multi-color light show to go off of!
Sorry, not for CIRITX...Cirtix is not design for 1S, you will need 3rd party option parts to do that.

Only EX can do the 1S lipo cut off, however, it almost happened all the time it will cut off your car before 8 minutes (per-caustion factor by the mfr setting) ....I have never used lipo cutoff (1S and 2S), if the lipo cannot deliver me 8 minutes of power, it is junk anyway. Or...the charger is not doing a good job.

TQ Cell booster works with CIRITX...and I assumed it will work on GT series ESC (I have not try it...). But I am 100% sure TQ Cell Booster DOES NOT work on REVENTON series ESC. That I've try....we are making our own booster pack as a add on to the REVENTON (I hope).

Our 12.5mm rotor will work on all SP motors....from V3, to 1cell and MMM.
  • Quote: Tim....try a new tire, I can guaranteed you it will do the same. It is that crazy....
Howard are you coming out again this weekend?
  • Thanks Solara,

Thats interesting about the cutoff as I can almost swear when I first tried 1S boosted with the GT2.0 LPFs I could set a cutoff at 1S voltage (3.2V or so) on the ESC n addition to using the TQ Booster?

    has anyone tried that?

Any new estimate on when any of the 1S ESCs, EX or that new Revention one will be in stock?
  • Quote: 12th scale...I know you need to run the sivler red 12.5mm rotor...but not sure about roll out...you can ask around and use the general roll out for blinky 17.5

For TC...32* timing (full left, yellow board)...gear at 4.6 and check motor temp...and that is for MMM 17.5 and you should also stock the GREEN BOARD just incase motor temp is too high (when using yellow board)...

1cell 17.5 is definitely faster/better then the regular V3 comp....MMM 17.5 is the best, and it is base off the 1cell 17.5 years ago.
Solara or anyone else, just to confirm is the silver 12.5mm rotor the same as the black red ring 12.5mm rotor?

Quote: Thanks. So based on this:

I can go from 20 degrees to 30 degees with the green timing board on the V3.0 competition motor.

The track I am running on is indoor carpet.
Anyone on the degrees on the can question? Just wanting to make sure I understand that the 0 - 10+ setting means that is added to whatever the board is (so a 20+ degree board) gives you 20 to 30 degrees timing, etc.

Thank you everyone for your help on all of this!

Cain, the 20degree board is giving you extra timing on this motor,so,your highest amount of timing is 20 plus what's on the end bell which is 10,so thirty degrees it is.
Just look at the right hand side and then add your timing board=max timing available.
So now 20 is the lowest and 30 the max.
    Cheers.
    Tim
  • You are correct on the timing ring. Green board goes from all the way left being 20*, to all the way right being 30*. Yellow board is all the way left 30*, all the way right 40*.
  • Quote: Please do not bench test the new software I guarantee this will happen to you!! Lol

    Ahah!
So I'm not the only one that bench tests........
As you said to me and I quote "maybe it will work on the track".....lol
Sorry Marcos but I couldn't not stay away,I was just having a bad day the last time I replied to you.
    My apologies.
BTW that must have spun up quick!

  • awesome! Anyone looking to sell some timing boards feel free to drop me a line.

By the way, has anyone tried the 12.8mm rotor? curious if it could benefit in tight track situations for say touring over the 12.5mm?
  • Quote: Marcos.. I would guess that was a well worn tire. I doubt a brand new skin would do that...
    yes it was a old set g;
Quote: It is back online now...now is V17. Daily improvement I would say...
    already installed

lol i was setting the throttle and it did spool up very fast lol

    no worries

12.8 is very quick out of corners but you lose top end, and,I wouldn't run any more than 20 degrees timing as the motor will heat up more with a bigger rotor.
Alternitavely add an extra fan but keep an eye on the temp.
    Tim
  • thanks for the info. would you say on a 50 x 50 track it could be useful in touring car?

It is MID AUTUMN Chinese Moon Festival this weekend...I will have to mount some REVENTON PRO to my kids BarBies Doll so she can spin like the 'Gangnam Style" horse dance with boost....

My schedule of racing is like 1 or 1/2 race per 6-8 weeks....you can do the math about my next race appearance....

GT2.1 EX...done, over, no more, discontinued...

    REVENTON PRO-EX...mid October...I think? (and I hope).

Yes, the same size, just different magnet material.

The end bell design, was like 3+ year old. At that time, we were not planning to use anything more then 10* on timing...because, we have BOOST and TURBO.

So, right now...it is no longer 0-10* only...it is plus 10* on top of the whatever timing ring that you are using...like red, green, yellow and blue. So you just have to remember what RING (color) that you are using and ADD the amount of degrees on the board and store it in your head.
