Hey guys,here's the deal.
Reventon pro esc
New mmm 10.5
Running mod software.
Sounds very ummm "gritty" when I apply the throttle( no pinion).I was just checking my setup and no,I wasn't being stupid and killing the motor with high reving.
Plugged in the old 10.5 and was perfect.
Are these motors THAT different to the old ones?...I felt the motor shaft and it seemed to have more resistance so I thought that would be a good thing.
Has this issue been delt with before? As I couldn't find where if it has.
Thanks

i ran the 10.5 with the Pro mod software and it was great, also i would never rev up the motor with no pinion and no load.

It's hard to tell without seeing/hearing it, but sometimes motors with stronger stators and rotors (like a mod motor) can make more noise.

+1 , go by how it is on the track not how it sounds on the table it may sound slow but it may just be fast on the track

I don't know how to compare, I don't have the EDGE...but when we are racing against them on USVTA, again, it is all blinky....faster driver is always faster.

The only real difference between the pairs is that the non-working pair have been used to update software on the ESC and the 2 that work haven't been used to update ESC software from the computer. Seems rather strange...
Please update all the LED card to the latest software...I think it is V1.4 now.

Are there any brownout issues with the Cirtrix on 17.5 but using a high power servo? (no spektrum gear).

What advantage do I get by going with the revention model that is similar to the cirtix?

Lastly, can I use the timing boards on the V3.0 competition motors or is that a mmm option only?

The only reason I asked is that since it is NEW,I didn't want to try it on our track.
Thus my previous questions about the new motors...(well new to me).
And if anywhere I could find out that something was wrong,I thought I may find it here, but since no-one has bothered to answer many of my software questions,( even "I don't know we all have to wait"),by either yourself Marcos,or Howard (Solara ) I'm tending to believe I just may have expected too much from this forum.
I'm not having a go at anyone,not mad,just very disappointed .
I have run Speedpassion for 2 years, recommending the brand to young up and coming racers, but now I will be keeping to myself.
And I'm very good at reading between the lines Marcos.
Also I hope whatever software issues you guys are having get sorted out.
This will be my last post here.
Tim

Tim, please keep in mind that you lose context on how something is said on a forum since we read that into it. So someone saying one thing that could come across as an insult could be a joke to another.

If possible, can you please post a vid of the issue? When you say gritty, part of me wonders if you mean like what you see when a motor cogs at low speeds.

I gotta quick question for you speed passion guys. I've got 2 matching Cirtix systems with Trinity spec 17.5's. I want to install these systems into a clodbuster. Thing is one of them has to run in reverse.
Is there a safe way to do this with the cirtix?

just swap any 2 wires on the motor that needs to be reversed.

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure because this is a sensored set-up.
