Can someone post the who's who in that picture?

Other than Howard and Marc it would be nice to know who is in the picture.

What mod software do you guys recommend to start with, as well as starting settings with a 10.5 motor (its a novak ballistic but any more info will do).

I put on the V3.110119 Mod one

I have been racing 4WD Offroad Stock with the V3 with the Green timing board. I've now got a new MMM in the car, which comes with the red timing board as standard. Should I try 20* total timing to start with, or just put the green board straight in and go to 30*?

I live in Hogn Kong, and since Speedpassion is a Hong Kong based company, it makes sense that I am able to get one ahead of you guys~

You can click install anyway after that Microsoft message. The driver will work with Windows 7 64bit.

I think in the install manual it goes over this as well.

If you go to Speed Passion's website and catch the support guy online you can chat with him as well. Their number is also toll free I believe.

I'd suggest using 323_Stock for boosted 10.5. Start with a 13.5 or 17.5 setup and lower the boost and turbo at first, then work your way back up.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find. Am I correct in assuming that with motors that start with high timing by default (ala Novak Ballistic 30 degrees) you just subtract the difference between what motor is on the setup and its stock timing versus the ballistics stock 30 degree timing?

Not really. All motors have built in timing. Some more than others (like LRP), but that is their design and the difference on the ESC setup will probably only vary by a few degrees of timing. When I've run Novak motors in the past, I usually end up running the timing turned well past the end of the sticker (advanced timing).

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.

To clarify, this would be for a 2wd SCT and 2wd Stadium truck. (onroad thread I know, but the offroad one is a bit dead)

Are there any setups out there you recommend to use as a baseline over others?

And if you have any advise for SCT 4x4 setup and firmware, would love that info. Motor there would be a 550 Tekin 5.5 in an SC10 4x4.

I know the concepts are similar but I have no experience in offroad so I can't say for sure. I think most of the setups you will find around here are onroad setups, but I don't know how well they translate to offroad as I don't run offroad personally.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Hopefully someone else can chime in for you.

no prob.

By the way, one more thing, would you use the 323stock software with a 9.5R Speed passion V3 motor or at that point, do you use a mod software?

It really depends on how much power you need. The mod boosted software is similar to 323_Stock, but the mod version limits how much boost and turbo you can add. This helps prevent blown motors from overboosted mod setups. If you are careful and have a grasp of how the software works, it's ok to use 323_Stock with mod motors. I use 323_Stock with 4.0t & 5.0t mod motors in my touring car, but I only run 20-30 boost and 10-15 turbo (the software will allow you to run much higher).

For offroad mod, you might not need as much boost anyways, so running the mod software can be a safety net, but it doesn't really matter either way.
