I can't imagine how it would be to lose a car...

Did you get king golden to load it with 90731 software too?

Unless your running on an 8th scale on road track the 731 is no good

Your need about 200 foot straights for the software to be productive

I have read (more skimmed) this thread and my understanding is that the latest GT2.0 blue speedo comes with the 205G software and that I should be looking at going to 312 for 10.5 rubber on carpet - does this sound right?

Can I ask what 312 gives over 205G?
If I am going to use 205G (until I get a programmer) what settings are best for 10.5?

I needed the 371 to keep up with the SPX boys on a track with 100' straight. Without it I had to gear very heavy, losing infield rip. I tried every software and found the 371 to be the best for stock motors.

I haved put in mine the 323 , and i need to gear my car high so i can have a good top speed. ( and the timing max on the esc )
I am using 116T with 27T at the moment . I used to have it like that for the 4T Ver 2 motor but now with the 4.5T Ver 3 with the same gearing i loosing alot in the straight.
I will put a 29T on sunday to test it and i hope it will be the same .
Our straight is near 200 feet .

I had a problem with the sensor cable and also the speed control wasnt doing any sound.
They replace the electronics from inside the esc ( gt2 pro ) and change also the bottom case ( clear one now ) and now i can see the red and green light very clear .
Also i would like to say thanks to Shawn and Adam for helping me ( Shawn forward my emails to Speed Passion ) .

By the way a tip to everyone , dont try to stop the car by putting your finger to the spur gear its painful .
I lost control of the car trying to set it up ( make a mistake at the settings ) and the car went full throttle. I tried to grab it and the middle finger of my right hand got stuck in the spur gear , nearly lost it . ( my finger not the car )

Could you show picture of your Clear case ?

and what is your esc temp running 4.5T ?

Pics i can show tomorrow , today that i tried it at outside track the esc was running at 45C - 50C .
Outside temp near 30C.
But i dont have the stock capacitor , ( not by choice because after the service the forgot to send it back ) i use a losi 8200μf 16V.
But also the 4.0T Ver 2 i was using before the service the temps was around the same with the stock capacitor .

Is it possible to remove the stock capacitor on the sp GT2.0 esc when you are running lipo 40C+.
Any losses in performance?
higher temps?

Guys...what are these 205, 731, 371 software that you guys are talking about..? I can only see there are 312 (stock) and 323 (mod) from SP website...

And someone mentioned using 371 for stock, where can I download that.?

Must be something I am missing...thanks all.

The capacitors are included on ALL brand ESC's for a specific reason. I highly suggest you always run the cap no matter what brushless ESC your running.

ok, so first post into here... but a quick pic of my new setup for the indoor season. GT2.0 Pro with a Comp3.0 10.5t... it's looooow

Won't get it on track for a bit, as I've still got to build up the shocks on the car, but itching to give it a try... LCD box is on the way too

Gidday,

I would really like to know what all the programes mean and do. We need a table which shows what programmes are available and what they do.

thanks

Default LPF

I'm wondering why most people still purchase the pro version, when they are only running 17.5/13.5/10.5 . Wouldn't the pro be overkill for these applications?, or is it that the lpf is slower for spec racing?

You can't. The 371 is given only to 'certain' people. I don't know why. But they warn those users that it'll kill mod motors if set incorrectly. Maybe that's why they don't hand them out. Someone loaded it on mine and so far its been working great. Perfect for the 11.5T we run down here.
