Silly question(s)...on the manual it says you can use 2-4 lipo cells but you've mentioned and also the website states if running 2 cell, use the GT2 PRO. Why is that a 2 cell lipo can not be used with the speedo? Is it b'coz the speedo will not function properly @ 7.4V? What will happen if I do use a 2 cell lipo pack?

Once again apologize for the silly quetions.
yes...the manual were printed awhile ago...we have quite alot of report stating that running SA2 in 2 cells will not have enough voltage to get the SA2 working propertly...you can give that a try with 2S and tell for yourself.

180° is what you can do with the SP motor...you don't want to get hotter then that.

Thank you for the response. Probably will give the 2S a try for comparison when I'm done putting my SC10 4x4 together. But first need to get the kit when it's back in stock again.

Anyone else problems with the Speed Passion website? I am trying to register my ESC so I can send it back(after calling and trying to do it over the phone). I have filled out the RMA form and every time I submit it I get a internal error page. If I go back to the RMA form page the submit button will not work unless I reload the page and then re-enter all the info again

Between having 1 of 2 ESCs not work right out of the box and their website I am wondering if I even want to use their product anymore.

I can't comment on SP motors, but we have been running Trinity 13.5s on a Medium size carpet track and have found we can run 45-50' of boost with ACC rates as low as 100rpm/degree. As long as we keep the turbo very low, I'm currently only at 5', we don't have a problem with temps. However we only run 0' timing on the motor, and the MMM has extra timing built in. I would try turning the turbo way down, then increase the boost 5' or so at a time, bumping the ACC a bit at a time as well, while watching your temps. Good luck.

Actually, you just got the newer design of the V3 motor....we are no longer using the sticker no more, all V3 are now laser engraved design. Just like 1 Cell can and MMM.

Hey all!

Going indoor carpet racing for the first time with my speed passion pro esc! I was running a 3.5T outdoors however now going to a 17.5 Boosted for indoors(that's the rules).

Anyways... any starting setup for Speed Passion Pro and approx gearing? The track is 80'x60'.

Running Touring car(417), with V3 SP 17.5 and rubber tires.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I just grabbed a used Speed Passion GT2.1 Pro Stock ESC,
and want tu use it for a no boost 17,5t Race.
What I already learned here is that I need the "508" Software or program!?
But where do I get it on the website, or is it already on the esc?
And I need the programm card with 2 LCD lines as Transmitter to the computer, as I read here?!

Sorry for this silly questions, but itīs my first time connecting an esc with a computer.

So,
if anyone has a actual "how to" for me, would be great, as there are different communication softwares and so on.
I donīt want to run without sensor cable, but sensored with no boost as with the cirtix combo...

Thanks in advance,
Matthias

I would start with this setup with the changes given below: http://www.speedpassion.net/uploadfi...Harbor_JAS.pdf

Change the #10 Turbo Slope Rate from 18/0.1s to 6/0.1s
Lower the #12 Turbo timing from 18 to 12

Gearing wise, I would think the FDR should fall somewhere in the range of 7.2 to 7.8 depending on the track layout.

As always, check motor temps frequently when trying a new setup.

When are the GT 2.1 EX back in stock on speedpassion.net for North America? Looks like most esc's are out of stock. Thanks.
