Yes, the whole SP 960 conversion is a direct fit for Serpent 950, 960 and 966 series...

what would be a good starting gear ratio with how many degree?

just got my mmm 13.5t can wait to run it at the local annual race this weekend
I personally have not try blinky 17.5 yet...but I would start with full 30° with 4.5 final and check motor temp and feel...then gear up if needed.

I ran blinky MMM 21.5 and gear at 3.8~4 full 30° depends on the size of track.

I just ran a 17.5 v3 with full 30 degrees blinky at the Paved National's. 70'x150' track size. I ran a 3.16 FDR. Good rip and top speed. Can't wait to try the new mmm motor's. Going to order mine soon.

We run that motor in our spec GT class with the cirtix esc. Gear around 3.9-4 and should put you in the ballpark. That class is going to come down to setup and driving. Hope this helps, see you at the IIC.

Depending on track size, start with a 4.0 and go up or down from there. On 1 100' straight, 4.0 seems to work best. On a 170' straight, 3.7-3.8 works the best thus far with the full 30* timing.

For TC blinky at IIC most ran full timing and 3.7 fdr.

3.7 fdr is a good start for iic with no timing in the motor and blinky mode?the speed passion motor with no adjustment end bell is a new one for me

Gt 2.0 pro new owner.
Any idea of a starting set up to use it with a GM pro Metal 10.5T / 5.5T in a Touring car?

I believe the SP V3 has 0-10* timing, if they are the same motors that they used the last couple years. So 3.7 is going to be good.

I don't think it is the V3 Ultrasportsman (I wish it is..), it will be the pro race V3 competition V3 motor with special IIC 2011 marking...however, it will be using the stock BLACK 0-10* sensor....RED and GREEN sensor are ILLEGAL to be use for the hand out race and IIC will tech the motor.
