Speed Passion GT2 PRO, that is the one that you want. 3 colors to choose from. And you need the LCD digital programmer box for software upload.

Well it sorta worked. I have a heatsink fan on the motor and added the cap and pulled the fan wire. 80% improved but not gone. Im running latest hw firmware but noticed sp had a "patch" for fasf rx. I tried to downrev and test that firmware but the sw would not allow it. I surfed the threads and there is a lot of confusion on this topic.

Any chance this is esc firmware related.

Thx
Joe

That firmware is related to fix the Futaba Faast system, not yours...also, that firmware is for the 1/8th Silver Arrow II ESC...what ESC you are talking about..? We were all talking about GT2 ESC, not silver arrow II.

Beside, your programmer card is running hobbywing software/firmware within, you have to talk to the HW ppl and find out how to upload the speed passion software/firmware on your LCD in order for you to use our software...that, I cannot provide any help.

Yes it is a Silver Arrow II with V.100_100912a_2R firmware loaded. This firmware appears to be newer than the SP version and I am not using a Futaba Rx. This is in a new Short Course 4x4, Ofna Nexx 10 SC. I went with the SP over the Novak ESC since I already own the HW 80A Xerun, which has been flawless in my 1/8 scale buggy. No glitches, no Cap needed, etc. Savox servo's in both. The Rx works fine in another car w/o any Glichbuster Cap.

I'm starting to think the motor pulls a lot of current and is already advanced 30 degrees. I haven't tried to change the ATMS timing from default but will set it to zero and see if there is any difference. I would have purchased a 4.5T SP motor but they were all out of stock.

I'm still pretty green with this sport so I could be overlooking something obvious and jumping down rat holes. Any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Default Is my the sensor done with?

Sup guys,

Recently I had the green and red flash with my GT 2.0 and V3 3.5T, I cleaned out the motor and all internals. But what's the chances of the sensor unit failing? I just don't want to fork out for a new sensor and only to find out that the problem is the actual motor itself. Also don't know if this matters but motor temp never went above 50C.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure your sensor assembly in your motor is faulty or your hall sensors on your sensor board might be dirty but I don't think your motor is the issue or on its way out.

Default Feedback

Just had a few quick question,
I'm looking to try new speedos this season
switching from Tekin RS Pro

primarily run 17.5 blinky
primary motor is LRP.

how does the GT - Pro Brushles ESC Version 2.0
hold up.
is there better Speedpassion option?

should I use the optional High Power Capacitor?

etc

thanks

any feedback would be appreciated.

Howie San, was the last software released on the motor checker v1.3?

I have some motors I need to go through this afternoon and I want the checker up to date.

It has just won the Reedy race and a few WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. It should Handle things fine.

GT20 is the flagship of all the SP ESC's unlimited Motors. All the others handle up to a 5.5 motor.

should I use the optional High Power Capacitor?
Yes.

I just picked up a Speed Passion Gran Turismo 2.1 to run in my TA05 for 17.5 turn stock, when I use the LED card to set the values, I get nothing past item 10 so I don't have access to any of the boost timing features (which is why I upgraded from my justock esc)

What do I need to do to get it to work?

Attached is a pic of what I have in case I have mixed it up with the wrong esc.

If that card of your's can connect to a pc, you can upgrade the firmware to the latest 323_Stock. Go to speed passion's site and copy one of the team driver's settings and start from there.

It's the LED card not the LCD one so has no computer port.

So this ESC needs the more expensive card at extra cost to use boost?

Yes you require the LCD 2 in 1 box to download new firmware.

I under stand that but am I to understand that the existing firmware doesn't have any of the boost features? It has to be downloaded, even onto a new unit?

All ESC manufacturers put their more simple firmware on the ESC in the box (tekin, HW etc) . This avoids non racers buying the ESC's and destroying them without the knowledge to do the correct settings
