have seen a few runs off sidecarphil.
realy crazy for a 6.5 and stil going strong after 7 minutes.
after the run stil easy to hold the motor. low motor temps.

myself had good results with my 13'5 and 323 sw
liking it more and more.
thanks

i have a v3 13.5t 1s motor here
thinking of testing it in my ff03 car with 2s

what gearing should i start with, running on a large asphalt track?

also what is the difference between the regular and 1s motors?

Default V3 3.5T Optional Rotors

Hi there,

Just discovered that...well for me any ways. That there's actually optional rotors for the V3 motors and each of them has different characteristics. So I was just wondering if there's much difference in them? For instance going from the standard black rotor/ red ring to silver rotor/ red ring. Also in the description, some of the optional rotors says " Super 7 ", what is this feature?

Thanks

I have seen drivers (such as Travis S a multi time national champ, kick some serious ass with a boosted small motor in the mod class on carpet. it can also be done on pavement, especially if you have a track with low to med traction. it is my understanding that serveral 'PROs' have even been boosting the 4.5. thats just gotta be crazy fast.
Good to know that.....but only on the 323 version that will made me feel SAFE to tell ppl to try it with mod motor.

Ambient temperature was about 25, track temp. 38, max motor temp 60 without fans

Results were impressive, during the first runs i had too much power! So i toned down some settings to gain a better driveability.
Had no problem keeping up with 5.5 and 5.0 turns motors.

Here is were i started in the morning (too abrupt, difficult to drive) :

Stock rotor
Endbell timing - 5
FDR - 8.5
4 - 7
9 - 30
10 - 18/0.1s
12 - 15
13 - 5000
14 - 0.3s
15 - 500rpm/deg

and here the settings after various tests, i got a more linear feel of the power band

Stock rotor
Endbell timing - 5
FDR - 8.5
4 - 7
9 - 25
10 - 18/0.1s
12 - 20
13 - 6000
14 - 0.3s
15 - 700rpm/deg

Cheers!

BTW, this was the track, main straight is about 35m long

Not yet....and probably won't have much 10th scale here running in state. But...you can try Harold's 528 stock and give that a try yourself. I mean, use his setup and applied onto the 323 and create your own timing level and give that a try.

WGT is not really a hit here..especially on outdoor when we are all running now in Summer....

Good choice...1S motor is lighter (5 grams or so) and the stator has less resistant compare to the standard V3...is a faster motor.

boost is boost, if someone doesn't know what thier doing or how to use it doesn't matter want version it is. whenever I talked about using it, I always said, start slow and go from there, that holds true for all esc's and all versions of boost. heck it even goes for non boost, heck it was true with brushed motors.

Hey,

Just moving over to SP v2.1 stock spec from GM and looking for a good setting for outdoor racing in 10.5.
