Which Makes it a 1880uF 25V Capacitor.

At the moment i am using a 2,200uF 25V Capacitor and it is working extremely well. Only advantage over the standard Speed Passion capacitor is that it is smaller.

Ryan.

After using only Novak brushless ESC's for years, I recently bought the GT 2.0 LPF (carbon black edition), and I love it! I've used it with a SpeedPassion Ultrasportsman 13.5 and with a Novak SS 13.5 Pro... The ESC has one odd quirk in that the "lights" on the ESC are not visible, so you must set it up by listening to the "beeps", but that is honestly not a problem once you find out you aren't blind (spent some time looking for the lights... LOL!)...

One thing that is GREAT about these ESC's is the little setup box that comes with it -- you can "dial in" the ESC without a laptop and without weird rituals of counting beeps or watching blinking lights. The local racers all envy me when it comes time to change a setting -- the Tekin users have to drag out the laptops, and the Novak users have to find the documentation to figure out what colors to look for and how many "blinks" they need... I just hook up the box, dial it in and go racing...

COOL!

My friend 2.0 LPF was right up there with my SPX and another Tekin RS at our track in 13.5 last night. I'd say it's a dead heat between the 3 of us even though we are all geared vastly differently.

The cap is a 25V electrolytic capacitor 2700uF HV/Super Duty Power Cap Harness: 2700µF (#5674)

But it says its for only high voltage ESCs? what makes a cap special only for High voltage ESCs?

Well the 25V means it works with systems up to 25V max operating voltage. It will work with 6 cell 7.2V power as well. So its abit of a misrepresentation of the cap.

I would think the main reason for the higher voltage is that the esc caters for 3 cell lipo.
If it only ran 2 cell lipo i am sure the cap voltage would have been lower.

what turn are you using ?

and what is the ESC final temp ?

disable the heat protection,
the motor heat protection ? (might work)
or
esc heat protection ? (impossible)

You would be hard pressed to overheat the GT2.0 without doing something stupid. Same goes for motors... Test them before the big race so you know your temps are good and you won't have to worry.
