Hey guys,

I am in the hunt right now for some ESCs with boost features, etc. as well as a 1/8 electric ESC.

I have a few questions on the lastest speed passion stuff:

1. What is considered the Speed Passion equivalent of a Tekin RS Pro? (GT2.0?)
2. Same question but for a Tekin RS? (LPF was what I considered when I had one)
3. Which ESCs include the progammer card that allows you to download updates to the firmware of the ESC online?
4. What are the thoughts on the 1/8 esc as far as using a 1/8 sized motor like a Tekin or Castle?
5. What is the warranty length now for the new stuff? (30 days, 90 days, 1 year?)
6. Which ESC can be used (other than the silver arrow v2) for 1/10 4X4 SCT usage and the 550 motors?

This is what I have always done, but it didn't work with the SP. It seems the heat was all drawn away from the tabs through the Alloy Case, which made the solder quickly solidify.

It is done now though, so all is sweet

Just waiting on a 21.5 motor to arrive.

no not GT2.0 but GT 2.0PRO or GT 2.1PROSTOCK

Right GT 2.0LPF ,or Cirtix ESC.
3. Which ESCs include the progammer card that allows you to download updates to the firmware of the ESC online?
All Speed Passion Product since Generation 2 Can be Updated and Programmed with a card included and LCD. for Cirtix, there is USB link.
4. What are the thoughts on the 1/8 esc as far as using a 1/8 sized motor like a Tekin or Castle?
Depend your class, but Silver Arrow is Recommended.
But Speed Passion had Slotless Motor 550 Cirtix, why would you need Tekin and Castle ?
6. Which ESC can be used (other than the silver arrow v2) for 1/10 4X4 SCT usage and the 550 motors?
GT 2.0 Pro.
5. What is the warranty length now for the new stuff? (30 days, 90 days, 1 year?)
There is also sensoreless NEW Speed Passion Skywalker PN:SW150
capability to use 6S.

"face it, on road is dead" that is what you said.

From the Carpet Nats thread....

"Looks like 110 plus entries,,, and about 77 pit spots taken..... still plenty of guys still to sign up, looks like it will be a sell out, thanks guys.."

.
not true, to download and upgrade your esc you will need the LCD program box which IS NOT included with the esc.

I have the Speed Passion GT2.1 "EX" in my WGT car using 1 cell lipo, should my voltage protection be turned off? Every time I set it to any other voltage the ESC just beeps with a flashing green light.

Default Pro stock 2.1/13.5 pan car setup.

Hey guys. Having just changed to Speed Passion from LRP i would be keen on some setup advice for my widened 10r5 pro10 which we run again in New Zealand but with 13.5 motors. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
