I have been running the ProStock 2.1 for a while now on my touring car for 10.5T and they are fantastic...

I am looking at doing some offroad modified racing down to 4.5 - 5.5T motors.

Can I install different software onto the ProStock 2.1 to run mod or do I need to get a GT2.0 Pro or GT v2.1EX?

Thanks

Stevo,

The 2.1 can run down as far a 5t motor with mod software..The GT2.0 Pro will run down to a 3t motor also with mod software..I think the EX is for 1s lipo (1/12th)

See you Saturday

Took a while to work out who KD was

Cheers 5T should be plenty offroad - so by mod software do you mean something like 528MOD - just want to be sure before I go blowing up a speedo

528mod is a mild boost firmware, use with some caution. My Son likes it with a 10.5 offroad, with mild settings.

The "standard" & perhaps safest mod firmware is 205G if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the warning Dave... will check out my software to see if it has 205G on the list.

Not really a warning, it's a mild amount of boost, just be aware.

Please post up you findings if you do try it, we don't get a lot of offroad feedback.

And you are most welcome.

Unhappy Need help....

Has anyone experienced problems, with the capacitors on the GT2? I bought a used SP GT2, from a person here, and have a problem. I wired, and installed it in my '007, on Sunday, and I got FLAMES, and smoke! The only wiring, I did, was to solder the motor wires, so that shouldn't have had any effect. I have the 528 firmware, and had an experienced racer set-up the programming. Now, when I put it on the line..I addded throttle, and it stuttered...then burned! The ESC looks to be ok, as does the battery, BUT..the wires, for the capacitors are fried, and burned! Anyone have an idea what happened? I dont know if it was the ESC, or the caps, that are the problem, and am afraid to try anything, with it, now!

Is that the same as what you are trying to use...? If that is the same...then someone said it does work.

I know Marc's 416 and 12th scale were using something similar like this on his car racing at the WORLD. Again...I cannot tell it is exactly the same spec but it looks the same to me.

Try it...

Just something we are going to release in several weeks for true spec racing....possible silver can motor replacement, the end of the brushed motor era.

It will be on BLUE motor can....with the V3 Competition motor bullet plugs connector standard....

Motor are currently under ROAR review....7.5 and 8.5 are also avalible for off road racing, with no motor vent holes.

No...Ultrasportsman V2 will still be there. V3 Competition and 1S V3 are totally different thing.

This series of motor is for the true spec racing along with the Ciritix Club spec no timing ESC as a perfect SPEC combo. No timing to worry, no computer, no setup (except brakes, thermal protection)...just gearing and drivers skill....sealed end bell prevent ppl open up and alter the internal of the motor.

You will see alot of HANDOUT motor racing will be using this type of motor in the near future. Hopefully will be using ours because of the cost.

We would like to use this to replace the silver can racing and provide true spec no inspection racing. Racing like the TCS here in state. The F1 class and the very popular MINI class. Of course, we are still working on the price and see that is possible that we can match the silver can motor price...
