your esc needs to be re calibrated to the radio, for reason it loses it set, just reset every time you turn the esc on, you'll get used to it and it won't seem like pain

recalibrate radio and and set full throttle at 95% on your end point. once done increase end point to 100%.

Just installed the Stock Spec 17.5 ESC and motor. How can I configure my settings, such as lipo cutoff, drag brake, etc. Is the only way through the program card or PC.

Ill keep you posted. Testing tomorrow the settings with a 2.1 with 528 software. In a RB5 SP. Will let you know.

Last week, started with default settings which were fine. seemed smooth, but trying to smooth out a little more since offroad is much different with bite levels

The basic settings can be changed with the "programming" card that came with the speedo. For advanced settings via your PC or to change software, you'll need the "Professional" programmer.

Sounds good.
Right now I'm running 205c with the previous software.

Been looking for something with a little better feel down low than the Tekin, and decided to give the SP 2.1 a try. It definitely delivered, the way the motor rips out of the turns is phenomenal! The only thing it seems to lack is that rip on the straight that you get with a Tekin. It definitely seems to boost on the straight, just not quite as hard. Any suggestions? I'm running a SPv3 17.5 with an FDR of about 6.4. Settings are as follows:

4/8
9/8
12/7
13/2
14/3
15/2

If I tried to gear up much more, it would get slower and hotter. Timing on the motor is maxed.

Track has about a 95' straight. You can see it here. Layout is different now, but that gives you the gist of it.

Goto 13/1 and gear it 5.9. You will feel it more on top. PS, keep the timing on 5* since the straight is so short.

I'm running on a similar track but with a v2 motor, is gearing the same as a v3?

Hey Def,
The V2 motor has timing built in. The factory settings of the V3 is 5* and obviously CAN be adjusted, but i prefer the factory timing because you can gear the motor higher since the V3.0's naturally have more torque.

With the V3.0, i would gear if a couple of teeth higher to start.
