in my opinion most motor failures that involve fading or motors overheating etc...is from guys maxing out or using incorrect settings in the supercharger software as well as overgearing.
I have noticed that most overtime or make the advanced timing come in too early, this just makes uneccessary heat.
If the motor is getting hot that itself says something is wrong.
DONT take for granted that max timing and supercharge will give max performance !!!!
The tuning document on the SP site is spot on with its advice and is a safe place to start when looking for a setup to suit your driving style and track.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but after some advice.
I have the SP GT2.0 Pro and SP V3.0 4.5T motor.
I've previously been running in 13.5 and 10.5t classes, and this is the first time I'm trying to set up the ESC for mod. I currently have the SuperCharger installed which I know I've got to remove.
Any advice on what software version to run and also a FDR ?
I run on a large open outdoor track in 1/10th TC.
I've seen the Speed Passion Team Mod setup sheet on the SP website, but not sure which software this referres too or if a FDR of 7.5 and the amount of timing they use is appropriate ??
Much appreciated !

Use firmware version 205g and try the default setup or team mod setup.
Make adjustments from there to suit.

hello guys,
i'm interested in buying a Speed Passion Emotion Micro ESC and Motor Combo (7800Kv) for my M18Pro . has any of you guys ran it before? how do you compare it (speed/performance) wise to the Castle creation micro combos with 8000Kv motors??
how easy is it to tune? i saw that it comes with its own programmer.
just need to hear few opinions and tips here and there,
thanks guys

Hello I have a 92836Z receiver with a GT2.0 LPF and I am trying to use this with a 2 cell 3800mah 7.4v. I have noticed that in my manual for this receiver the power supply level is DC 4.8 ~6.0V. Does this mean that I will short my receiver if I use this battery? Is there anything that I can purchase to avoid this shorting my receiver?
Thanks,Jason.
Thanks,Jason.
