Is the 410 an 'actual' release ie is it authorised? What is the story with the update advisories every time you flash your speedo with it? Only has options for v1.02 and we are currently on V1.03 so any ideas?

Or is 410 a 'work in progress' ?

Probably because it's only supposed to be with the team drivers at this stage.

The feel and quality seem very impressive.
Only 3 settings possible, brake power, drag brake and temp cutoff
Receiver and switch wires nicely exposed on the edge of the unit, so you will be able to shorten the wires easily.

Negatives from first impressions.
Cap sits behind the wiresand looks out of place, would have been nice to see it like the 35amp hobbywing where a nice little hole is made in the heatsink under the fan for it.
Secondly, TAMIYA PLUG, come on its 2010, kill off the Tammy plug, after all it is a RACE speed control, put on a Deans style plug.
Motor wires come prewired on the SP 3 prong plug, it just looks tacky, doesnt lock in place properly, and doesnt appear to put any significant pressure to the contact plates unlike a deans plug.

We have been testing a few different combos in an attempt for a low cost racing class. This fills most of the requirements so far, however the RRP of $180 AUD seems to be creeping up above our initial estimates.

We are aiming for a 21.5 motor, so far combos are only available in 17.5 and faster. I had a look at the motor, the quality looks better than the dodgy SP pictures show it to be. Fixed timing is a bonus.
Looking forward to trying it out this week.
Thank you. A lot of money for something that basically has only one use. Being a control ESC for ETS I assume you're not allowed to change anything on it. Tamiya plug is absolute garbage. The current limiter is then redundant. The motor plugs don't seem so bad on my SP V3 17.5 motor, and has good positive contact. Never had any problem with it.

I will be running this system in RCGT and see how it holds up against the standard Non-Boosted ESC's.
Not sure what its class is and how much those ESCs you refer to cost, but
180 AU$ is a lot of money when you can buy a Tekin RS from Ampdraw for about the same amount landed in Oz.

speedpassion could release every update, but then this thread would be full of people complaining about one thing or another, and asking so many questions no one would be able to keep up, better to wait for the final and approved version to be released by Speedpassion.

Until it is deemed "safe", the 410 SW will not be available until further notice. And Speedpassion will let everyone know when it is available.
