was briefly at the track and a buddy was trying different combinations on the 231 with a LRP x12 13.5 but we just found it to be lacking.
We run on a gas track with a +- 60m back and infield straight.
The 110 felt and looked noticeably faster as well has having much more bottom end punch.
Looking at his setup sheets it looked like he went through plenty of combinations.
I couldnt do my own testing but will be this coming weekend.

If you read the manual on the x12 motors it'll tell you to not use it with timing advanced speedies.

well its what he had.
He tried it with 0 deg timing and 10 deg.
I still prefer my SP motors.

How to find FDR ?

Use the lowest FDR that does not overheat the motor?

Also, which comes first? Setting FDR or ESC?

Has anyone noticed that Supercharger v230STOCK and v231STOCK does not like high AMTS values? Had to lower mine to 3.75deg of timing so I can feel the Timing Boost kick in.

Motor was a SP v3 17.5T on a TC.

curious as well as the pre beta stuff like the 110 and 107 didn't work well at all for 1/12 1S versus the tekins.

I have a 2,1, i tested it last weekend and my impression (with the original firmware), is much faster than my old SPX. Punch and speed is much better with the 2,1
I used it with a SP 10,5 V3 and the car was really fast on the stright and the torque at low speed was very good.
For me it is a really good esc and for sure with the next firmware will be better, but at the same time the original firmware is working really well.
What i found is that the original firmware inside the 2,1 is different respect what there is inside the 1,32 software; i don't know which is the difference but it is working really well.

Hi I'm new into the forum; I'm Italian and also I'm testing the beta firmware with not exceptional results. I'm tested the firmware 230 and 231 with novak ballistic 10,5. I have used FDR 6,7 and 8,4 with same result; much velocity on the straight, but little punch on the corner exit, with motor temp between 65 and 80 degrees C.

Forgive me, but who tells us that the FW 230 and 231 have actually the highest performers with motors 10,5 ?? in the programming software list seems there are a dozen firmware and all with supercharger functions.
No one can tell us which ones are tested (because I imagine that the driver test have tested all firmware in the list) with the greatest satisfaction?

regards @tomino

novaks have a soft start to them and they run hotter then tekins or sp's. you would need to get a torque rotor if you want more rip. during the run the novaks will go soft and loose there punch. its not the software thats the prob its the motor. try a speed passion. they have the rip your looking for.

good morning (in Italy are 7.45 am)

very grateful for your response;
is really important to have feedback from a team driver SP; doubt that the engine could be the problem, not the software, already come after the first test, and I had already decided to do some test with engine SP.
I never imagined, however, that the Novak, who like so many do RPM, could lose much.
I reasoned that a FW that develops many RPM combined with a Novak would give top performance. Obvious I'm wrong.
Last question: with 10.5 continue testing with the 230 or 231?
