Ok so i've got my speedo in now... working etc..

Is there any reason why when revving it doesn't sound much faster than my old lrp sphere tc spec?

Is it because it's still on the Mod standard software and not on the 107 software to suit my 10.5....

I want it to sound like it's spxing.. will it do that with the new software?

Try it on the track first then determine if you need more speed. Also, gear up and see how it feels. Once you have determined that you want more out of it, then upgrade to the 107. A lot of people found they are also very happy with the stock software.(205G)

I think i'm just obsessed with speed...

I've got everything ramped up at the moment (motor timing +10, esc timing 26°) and it does go pretty well..

The brakes are alright as well when set on 100%..

Still would be nice to sound like an spx shame thats not going to happen..

I may cry now

Have you uploaded the V1.32 Software yet from the Speedpassion site? And do you have the LCD box to upload it to you Esc yet?

No i've e-mailed schumacher uk and hopefully they can get some of the LCD programmers in stock soon.

Will the new software make a huge difference or not much?

Cheers

In my personal testing, the 107 has way more punch than the 205G. More mid-top end than the 312. As far as lap times, it is about .5 seconds faster per lap. on a big track with 170' straight. The 107 has overall more power than the 110 in my findings, but runs a little hotter. The 110 software seems to work better with the 13.5 and has a more controllable bottom end and same top end. Either way, you will see a big improvement with the 107. They both, however, should only be run with stock motors(10.5-21.5). If you plan on running mod, the 205G and the 323 software is the way to go.

Thanks very much for your help

When I get the programming box i'll get the 107 loaded into it... hopefully it should match my V3.0 10.5 very well..

Intend to run mod at some point as well so i'll put the standard software back in

Cheers

Hi, just want to ask about speed passion motors.

Ive been using a Novak 10.5 motor for 2 years and want to
try speed passion's sportsman 10.5 or 9.5r motor.

Will I feel more torque or more RPM compared to my old motor?
It will be used also on an old XBR. Any issues with this ESC-motor
combination?

Thanks in advance

Kamusta Pare!
I have lent my SP Ultra Sportsman 17.5 to one of the racers at my track and he was running the XBR system. According to him, he actually did notice a big difference between the 2 motors. Mainly that he had more wheel spin and he was able to gear a lot higher(about 3-7 teeth 64p) and still keeping the temps to about 140*F. I still run that same motor now in my TC for testing purposes with the test software Sp provides every me every so often. You won't be disappointed with them.

The sp is torquey, the novak has higher RPM and has slightly better brakes. Also the novak has adjustable timing, for SP you'd need to go to a v3 to get that

Ok thanks. Im using an old Novak EX 10.5 motor with bonded rotor.
Im thinking of upgrading to this http://www.speedpassion.net/en/productDetails.asp?p=34

Should I buy the SP or just upgrade my rotor to sintered?
If I choose the V3 10.5, will there be a noticeable difference?

Thanks again.

Questions?? Running 107 or 110 with 1S LiPo??

not specifically, but the ESC works just fine on 1S, most guys are running the 107 software.

You just need to run a booster or receiver pack
I have tried to run both the 107 and the 110 with my 1s and booster in my 12th Scale and it does not seem to run properly. It winds out when I run it on my bench but as soon as I put it down for a lap, the car is totally slow. I have been stuck running the 312 or the 323 with this set-up. I would like to know how the 107 or 110 can be run with a 1s LiPo and booster in 12th Scale?

Thanks...

Sorry I thought you meant the novak SS/ballistic, I haven't used the ex

I really like the v2 10.5, you can gear it to the hill and it still rips out of the corners. I've only tried it with the SPX tho, I think I'll pick up a v3 to go with my GT2.0 and the next software
