I see that I can get the SP LPF for $130...for the extra $11 I think I blew it! Not knocking the Novak, it's just that the GTB is not the most current technology.

Oh well, live and learn!
No, it's one of their older yet very capable ESC's. I've seen it hang with all the new stuff on the track, I think a lot might be driver, but that's my opinion

Steve and company at Novak make great stuff, I don't think you blew it, it's probably one of the best start points when getting getting in brushless

Adam, does speed passion have any escs that would be legal under USVTA rules for Sept 2010? Basically ESCs with no timing advance or turbo, like a Novak Havoc?

LMFAO USVTA has ESC rules?

what a joke!

Unfortunately we do not.

Sounds like the USVTA needs to go back to wiper MSC's and mabuchi motors

Don't get me wrong, I'm a long time fan of Novak. I guess I'm just seeing the ability to update software via direct download as the "next level" in r/c speed controllers...and an exciting prospect at that.

BTW, with me it is DEFINITELY the driver!!!

You might want to ask Novak?

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-trans-am.html

I know that thread is more VTA specific, but Novak created it and I bet that's a better place to ask

Adam,

Have any feedback on the new software for 13.5 offroad?

Also, Will 7.5 be too much load on LPF?

Charlie B. Bummer!!!

I can answer the 2nd one....no, my CAT was running 5.5 with the LPF version, not a problem. 6.5 is event better but I think 7.5 is the best if I have one (only got 5.5. and 6.5 running the 1/10th CAT XT)
