I can only hope that the suspension bits from the M03 will fit. I'd like to transfer my alloy goodies over if and when I pick one up.

I had wished they were going to do a mini tub chassis. It would have made sense.

A couple months ago our local shop was selling M03R kits for $150CDN! Totally jumped on that, stripped my old Mini for the hopups, have myself a new machine, all nice and blue.

I'll just clean and rebuild my old mini with existing parts, and sell it off to subsidize the purchase.

Then I was wondering, exactly what parts in my new R can I bring over to the M05? Shocks, suspension, drivetrain, all identical.. can't I just buy a spare chassis tree when it comes out and a few extra parts for the steering control, and I have myself a M05R?

that's a very good question something not a lot of people (including me) could asnwer it would be sweet to put all the m03 alloy parts from tamiya, ATM, yeah racing, and 3racing but only time will tell.

I do hope the internal gear ratio is the same so it would be matched with the m03. only difference would be the chassis layout. and shocks and little different chassis bits

HmmmMMmmmm.. so would we only need these two main parts to convert an M-03 to an M-05?

51390 M-05 B Parts (Steering Wiper)
51389 M-05 A Parts (Chassis) (RC Model)

Sure, we'd need a long enough steering link to reach, and some extra bits o' hardware I'm sure we can scrounge up, but beyond that, it's looking promising..

Hey jam what's up bro? I believe the M05 is a total dofferent car. The M03 doesn't have all the stearing mounts to bolt the new bell crank to. it looks like a whole different chassis mold. But I could be wrong.. theres maybe a way to put the M05 stearing on the M03 but the M05 has other stuff that the M03 can't upgrade to.
Hope so tho. So people could just upgrade instead of dumping the m03.

Has anyone contacted tamiya about this car? Like if we could get a test model? Lol
