Fins on the motor mount - hmmm, complex.

The way it is right now, the "circle tightens" to clamp the motor, so it relies on even flexibility to clamp the motor. So fins would make it rigid in some of the places it can't or shouldn't be rigid.

I can see some fins facing forward from the vertical part, but that gets into ESC real estate. Maybe going up from the top, but then there are CG concerns

There are plenty of good aftermarket heat sinks already, so I don't think you'll see a hop-up one from us.

You could do fins up further back of the clamp that wouldn't effect the clamping part of the mount. The COG increase would be very small if any, but better controled off the mount than a added on heatsink.

In the UK it will be almost exactly the same as the Xray '009.

I recently converted to Xray after 3 1/2 years with Schumachers and I admit the car looks amazing (as did the Mi3 which was the last Schumacher I owned) but I hope the quality of the parts is a bit better, sorry, but they are simply not as good as Xray.

I shall however be watching closely with interest

The belt tension system looks pretty nice. Cams with pins. No chance of it slipping or rotating.

I don't know... I only saw two uses of the word "optimized". The marketing department better step it up. Xray is killing you guys in the use of the word "optimized".

Being able to lock the motor in regardless of the pinion / spur sizes or the number of holes in the spur looks interesting.

my only concern is with very low turn motors.the motor may slip a tad by the smooth can and the smooth motor mount. i hope it has tiny grooves to grip (like fingerprints.)

To answer your question, (not sure if anyone has, only looked at a few posts) There is a screw in the bottom of the chassis, notice from the pic the screw hole at the bottom of the alloy motor mount.

Also To answer the first person's question, Schumacher has always been on the "bandwagon".

Car looks good, not sure I like some things about it. Schumacher always did make lovely cars.

Not sure I agree on the quality statement, although Last schummy I had was an Mi2. One thing I and a couple other team drivers had problems with( I wasn't a team driver) Is that the Schummy had NOTORIOUS Tweak issues, I mean they would tweak and re tweak while you were racing, let alone just stay tweaked.

Can't wait to get mine This car should be more consistent in the higher bite tracks, so it seems like they are going in the right direction for the US tracks.

It's always going to be a personal preference thing out there... what wins on friday sells on monday too.

I think just about any of the newly released and designed cars out there all have something special to offer with innovation these days.

Any car can be good in the right hands, give it some publicity at a big event and bam, job done, kits purchased.

I dont think there have been "too" many Mi's out.

Mi2, 3, 3.5 and 4 over quite a period of time. and some of them are only cheaper variants to get the less wealthy guys using Shumacher cars.

Time always tells the full picture I guess!
