Hey, I could use a decent asphalt-setup. Could you share it or email it (ludodg AT Gmail.com), JDM? Would be most apreciated.

I am gonna assemble my car next week, when on holliday. There' s an asphalt-track nearby so ...

A question about the reversing of the drivetrain.
I usually drive in the lower motor-categories (27T, ...) and luve to drive with a one-way.
But when flipping over a one-way, it won't function anymore.
Is there a work-around?

How much weight is it taking to balance the car with the layshaft flipped and motor pushed in?

I know it will vary with electronics, but I need to buy some lead, maybe a lipo tray

Do you think a lipo tray would be enough (roughly) to balance it left to right? Probably a PPD tray, which is 3.0 oz going off his site

And then add what ever else is needed to the center of the car?

Most likely. Don't know what you have for an ESC or receiver, but it should get you close enough that you could just put one or two lead sticky weights on the motor side if it doesn't balance perfect.

I think I will just dremel out that piece so its a 6 cell chassis. Seems the easiest way to do it?

You could cut material off the plate to avoid cutting up the chassis. Just shave the cell cutout part off the bottom.

I think it would be easier to just cut the chassis? Its just a little piece to cut out

Shaving the plate would be good, but im not sure if I could get it flat, you know? Especially with a dremel, but im not sure. It might weigh out better, and I could just put lead on the center of the chassis. I duno, will have to experiment when I get all my stuff

I have found the CF used in the chassis is no were near the quality it is should be, I have had two problems. One, a small chunk is was removed on the bulge for the droop screw this was a very clean run didn't hit any thing (video to confirm) .21 consistency and the chassis at the back has de-laminating (it was sealed too) again hit nothing with a .29 consistency. I work at my LHS and have gotten a quite a few complaints both at the track and in the store, 90% of the claims were from the first batch if that matter

No I'm just having a brain fart on how I should wire this thing.

Side note is anyone else running the 96T spur in 13.5 and having issues with gear mesh? I just found out that I am
