What aluminum shims are you guys using? 3x6 don't fit. I don't like the clips. I want to use aluminum shims so please help me out.

i think it's a little bigger than 3x6... 3x7
my caliper is broken...i am sure someone can measure up the internal.

part number is
U3131
18pieces = 3 different sizes.

easiest part to use fits everything on the car, hingepins (outer & inner), shock mounts, camber link plates..etc.

sorry I don't have the HB part number...edit I think it's part number Z814, it shows as 3x6 but I believe the inner diameter is slightly larger. The Schui is better.
i just opened the bag and threw away the header cars.

If you want to use alloy shims, you need them with 1/8 internal hole. The 3mm ones are too small.

We usually use either HPI or TOP Racing ones. I don't have any part no's to hand.

I'm looking at the Schui/Spec-R DCJs on Amain. Convince me, one way or the other.

Outdoor asphalt, relatively open layout. 17.5 blinky for now, but might give 10.5 boosted a try.

just make sure you build them right as per instructions...and they appear to be quite durable.
be sure to remove some material from the inner steering knuckle...no friction.

But do they actually make a noticeable difference in on-track performance? The CX CVDs are quite smooth, and quite durable.

Also, what about C-Hub fitment?

Running 17.5 blinky in my CXL with spec-r double jointed drive shafts and just took win number 2 in the BRCA Clubmans Series we have here in the UK.

No problems so far and not had any reason to look at them since i fitted them about 2 months ago.

Does U3814 (slider inserts) include both the harder and softer ones now? It used to just be a 4-pack of the softer ones. They seem to be taking a beating in front with the spool and causing binding.

use the black sliders only in the front...and put a little grease in the slider, it does wonder.
i can get about 2 months out of a set in the front...running 17.5...not sure how long they would last with a modified..
but I prefer this design to others....quick and easy and relatively cheaper to run compared to other brands.

T6 covers are super sturdy.

Thanks, guys. So the next question is whether AMain has the newer pack in stock, or if theirs are old stock with only the 4 gray ones... I'll ping them.

What is the difference between the new CXL layshaft, and the old original Mi4 layshaft? They look basically the same.
