i believe aluminum spaces for any hinge pins need an internal diameter of 3mm...
the outer hinge is the same diameter as the inner pins.

I am currently building my second car...I put in alum shims in the rear (usually use the plastic clips provided in the kit).
this will be a testing car trying to build new setups for different weather and tracks.

part of this hobby/sport is getting your "On-hands" time and seeing what works and doesn't.

after you get an answer, you ask the same thing several times..
a bit OCD, perhaps!!!!

if you go with a different brand you won't get the same response you received on this thread...go ahead and try...

Every car is different. Without buying it and trying it, You will not know, it's as simple as that.

as I stated before...Good Luck.
we tried to help you.
Don't feel bad. He does this everywhere. Asks a laundry list of questions, many of which could be easily answered by taking a minute to look at a manual or throw some parts on a scale, or heaven forbid actually make the change and test it on the track. Guess someone else is supposed to do all the work for him.

BTW.. the new Schumacher looks good. A bunch of people were running them at my track a couple years back. Hopefully we can get someone running them again. Nice to see some variety.

If maximum performance is ones aim, than one would want the highest C rating AND the highest capacity in mAh AND one wants the battery warm, but not hot.

I am a big fan of prewarmed LiPo's, but sadly rules don't allow that.
Look for battery info too.

Higher mAh leads to more run time. Higher C is only a factor when drawing max current, you do that once in a race, the start for about 2 seconds. A couple laps later, that fresh charge edge goes away. Warm batteries do not provide any more current, but keep the peak voltage output up. Current draw is limited by the ESC. Most ESCs can not draw the current a high C battery can provide, if they do, they fry. Internal resistance is a factor in proper balancing and in effect output. The IR of each cell should match. Warming batteries for the sake of warming batteries is a waste of time. If you want warm batteries, use a lower C rating battery. As current draw approaches C the battery will warm on its own. This has been proven over and over.

Does anyone know if the alloy pivot blocks from the mi3 and 3.5 are the same as the mi4. The number for a pair of pivot blocks is the same just wondered if there was any differences.

Thanks

i will look in my pit box but it's a long shot....
Schu UK has it in stock.
.but you can order a Diff gear and use hard putty ...and will feel very close to a spool.
or buy the internal lock for the Diff gear.
