High Speed Understeer
Hi All
I am looking for a little help
My son’s Mi4LP has some mid corner to exit under steer in high speed sweepers and high speed “S”, it is a little worse now we are running a Tekin speedy, he is going a little faster now with this speedy, running 17.5 motor. I moved the front shocks in 1 hole at the top, it looked a bit better and the tires look better after the run as well, I run HPI silver springs all round, 35 wt oil, track is outdoor, Tarmac.
Any ideas would be great.
Regards
Gary

If these adjustments don't work, I would start adjusting droop. I usually run anywhere from 6-4 in the front and 5-3 in the rear on the HUDY droop gauge.

I would try moving the front shocks back in one or two holes, and leaning the rear ones out one or two holes. This will free up the rear end and let it break traction just a touch, and will also help the front end bite in more.

The rear is just hanging on at the moment, I did move the front shocks in 1 hole from the middle at the top and the tires looked better after the run, maybe taking some droop out of the front will be the next thing I try.
