Ok..I race off-road and want to get into on-road. why is the mi4 the car I want to drive over the other cars? I know nothing about on-road so please educate me. I admit the MI4 is a super nice car but I am also looking at the Xray T3 and the TOP Photon.

Cause where you are just about everyone in 17.5 is running the MI4. Easy to bum parts and set up help is easy to find at the track.

Plus I have one.

Switched to the MI4 2 weeks ago and love it. My stallion was great just wanted something new and made the switch. Great car easy to drive and carries lots of corner speed.

If you want to take one for a test run look me up at the track.

Default High Speed Understeer

Hi All
I am looking for a little help

My son’s Mi4LP has some mid corner to exit under steer in high speed sweepers and high speed “S”, it is a little worse now we are running a Tekin speedy, he is going a little faster now with this speedy, running 17.5 motor. I moved the front shocks in 1 hole at the top, it looked a bit better and the tires look better after the run as well, I run HPI silver springs all round, 35 wt oil, track is outdoor, Tarmac.

Any ideas would be great.

Regards
Gary

Try less front droop. If your running 2mm try 3 or 4mm. You can also try standing up one hole on the rear shock tower. That is if you have good rear traction. I would start with the droop first.

Good running,
Joe

I would try moving the front shocks back in one or two holes, and leaning the rear ones out one or two holes. This will free up the rear end and let it break traction just a touch, and will also help the front end bite in more.

If these adjustments don't work, I would start adjusting droop. I usually run anywhere from 6-4 in the front and 5-3 in the rear on the HUDY droop gauge.

Thanks Danny
The rear is just hanging on at the moment, I did move the front shocks in 1 hole from the middle at the top and the tires looked better after the run, maybe taking some droop out of the front will be the next thing I try.

Regards
Gary
