Viktor's looks more believable, looks like only 30g, which given I've got 20g on mine at that limit, I can believe

Also the TRF team was around 1435-1440 gr in the inspection.

Hi Jilles, i just saw that the track has changed for TITC in feb.
Do you know which direction the track is, and what hotels are people planning to stay at.

Thanks

Hi Jilles,

Hope everything is well in Thailand.

Wondering would the new 416X Motor mount fits on the regular 416 and / or 416WE?

Thanks.

What change or changes would people suggest for lack high speed steering, I running basic Jilles set up with C-C & 1XA - E blocks.

Car extremely stable and turn excellent at low speed and off power but pushes in some of the big sweepers we have on Europe tracks.

what you suggest to help better in entry to mid corner on fast sweeper ??

Try to loosen your differential a bit and start from there.

Hi Jilles.

Congratulations with your off-road contract.
It seems you want to get all there is with RC cars, I hope that you
beat Brian Mayfield and Atsusi Hara in the future.(fair and squire off course)

Have a nice time in Thai.

Oli,
I haven't talk with the TRF guys about the ETS race. But I'm sure they used superglue on the sidewall.
Sometimes a softer car also helps to avoid traction roll as Stilo explains.

Stephtruc,
This trick was the trick we use in Hungary last year with the ETS race.
Tony was so fast whole weekend and after the qualifications he explained he used 7 and 6 droop.
On sunday I tried this and my car was much easier to drive and less traction roll.

Ed,
I have measured this sometimes on the camber gauges and it was about 25 degree.
I use normally just enough lock that the steering blocks stil has little play till it touch the casterblock.

Mark,
I did not attend the ETS serie in Germany. I actually don't know the new weight rule.
In Thailand we have 1400gr. minimum weight. This is the same as it was with 5 cell so I put all the extra weight to reach 1400 gr on the lipo side. This is a good balance. I suggest when there is a 1350 minimum weight to install the Lipo pack a little bit more outside of the chassis, about 5mm.

Dameetz, QWCL,
Thanks. I still ran the 416WE version at that race. At this moment I'm building the 416X. At the race I used Lipo and 4.0T motor from Orion.
Gearing 8.6 Power program on the nosram 2!

Kschu,
Yes, I normally mount my wing as far as legal(10mm behind the rear bumper).

Besercoe,
This is right. The TITC will be at RC Addict. Very nice location, about 8km east from RCS. Don't know much about hotel in that area.

Jonest,
Yes, the new motor mount fits the previous 416's.

TRF 416 UK,
Try to use some arm sweep in the front. D - B blocks

t4m1y4niac,
Do you know anything about the rules next week? What tyres? What motor for stock? Minimum weight?

See you next week!

Jilles

p.s. Does anyone know how to change the Thread name to:

"ask" Jilles Groskamp Tamiya 416(WE/X), Team Orion Motors
